Gadgets like the iPod Touch, the iPhone and a few cameras have already made it the WiFi connectivity a standard.

Another gadget joining the bandwagon is the Flip MinoHD! Well, it’s not actually out yet but you’ll get to see a mockup of the gadget come this January at the CES! I’m excited! I’ve been thinking of getting a Flip Video this Christmas for myself, but I guess I’ll just have to wait a month more. Might as well buy the one with the WiFi features, right?

With the boom of YouTube and other video sharing websites, gadgets should really have built-in WiFi in them already. The easier it is to upload photos and videos to the internet, the better!

I guess it’s Polaroid’s way of catching up with technology. But really though, I don’t see the need why they had to phase out the Polaroid film entirely. A lot of photography enthusiasts out there are still into film and I think there are some people who are trying to bring film back. Sigh. Oh well.

But anyway, atleast there’s one good news about the Polaroid PoGo. It comes in PINK, now! Haha! And for every PoGo Instant Mobile Printer sold, $10 goes to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. So you get a really cool gadget while doing a good thing!

At first glance, I thought the image above was showing 2 different, separate gadgets. But apparently, that’s the front and back of the SCH-W880.

From one side, it looks like a normal touchscreen phone. On the other side, it looks like your typical camera, complete with zoom lens.

Now, I can’t decide whether is it more of a camera? Or is it more of a phone?

This product has really piqued my interest. One reason why I’m not fond of those all-in-one gadgets is because it’s always a given that one aspect will won’t be as great as the other. Like for example, the quality of the photos you take with phone cameras won’t be as great compared to the photos you take with a “pure” or real camera.

But this product might just balance both the camera and the phone aspect. Hmm. Interesting.

And it looks like an awesome gadget as well, aesthetically speaking.

Samsung SCH-W880 Specifications:

• Can shoot HD videos in 720p

The Digidude Tripod is a really adorable, functional tripod for your compact digital camera!

There’s one from Nikon with the built-in project (Nikon CoolPIX SJ1000PJ), and then there’s the 3D camera from Fujifilm.

Samsung is also coming out with their unique camera: the Samsung TL220 and TL225. While the unique feature of the TL220 and TL225 isn’t as “amazing” (for a lack of better term) as the others, it’s still a feature every camera-loving, vain Gadgenista will love.

The TL220 and TL225 are the first point and shoot cameras to have an LCD in the front. So basically, taking a self portrait will be sooooooo easy and very convenient. No need to wonder which head or arm you’ve chopped off when taking a self-group photo. And when taking a self-portrait, you’ll immediately see how good you look!

Taking photos of kids and babies will also be easier with this camera as it has a feature called “Child Mode”. The LCD in front can flash cute, colorful animations that can catch a kid’s attention. Cool.

Samsung TL220 and TL225 Features:

• 12.2 megapixel resolution
• 4.6x optical zoom
• Image stabilization
• 720p video capabilities

Both models practically have the same features and the only difference I saw was the touchscreen LCD display on the back. The TL220 has a 3inch screen while the TL225 has a 3.5inch screen that’s clearer and sharper.

Both cameras will be out by September with the following prices: TL220 ($299.90) and TL225 ($349.99)

Here’s another interesting camera from Nikon.

The Nikon COOLPIX SJ1000PJ has a built in tiny project that can display pictures on a screen, wall or any flat surface. Really awesome idea! Instead of people crowding all over you saying, “Can I see? Can I see?”, you can just project it over!

Trust me, it has happened to me so many times (and I’m actually guilty of it, too, haha). Every time a friend of mine takes my photos during a night out, I’d rush over checking the photos whether I look good in it, haha. Or atleast remotely normal looking. I mean hello, when you definitely don’t want your drunk photos being uploaded in someone else’s FaceBook account, you know!

The built-in project can project images AND videos up to a distance of 10 inches. That’s around the length of a 12 inch ruler. Not bad. Still better than getting mobbed by paranoid vain people (like me, haha).

Nikon COOLPIX SJ1000PJ features:

• 12.1 megapixel
• High ISO 6400 sensitivity
• 5-way Vibration Reduction image stabilization system
• Four (4) movie modes with sound
• 36MB internal memory expandable via SD/SDHC memory card

While the thinness of the camera is impressive, that’s not the feature the TX1 boasts. The TX1 uses the back-illuminated CMOS sensor called Exmor R.  Exmor R is used by Sony’s digital SLRs and it helps in improving the quality of photos taken in low light.

It also has an antiblur multishot mode and a sweeping panorama shooting capability.

Sony DSC-TX1 features:

• 10 megapixel camera
• 3 inch touch screen
• Comes in silver, gray, pink and blue.

I just hope the TX1 will take better photos than the Sony DSC-T70. They pretty much come from the same line but I was sorely disappointed with the quality of the T70 photos especially those taken in low light and with flash.

The DSC-TX1 will be available this coming September with a price of $390. Wow, that’s a bit pricey, eh?

Oooh.

This is what I want for my next camera (goodbye my Sony DSC T70!). Even better if it’s going to be available in white.

As much as I love my white Sony T70, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the photos. Especially since my work exposes me to well-taken, sharp photos every single day, just seeing the murky, sort of blurry photos of the T70 made me yearn for the Lumix LX3.

The problem with the LX3, it’s a little too out of my budget. Plus, it’s not stylish enough (yes, that’s a BIG problem right there!), haha.

But it looks as though Panasonic has heard my prayers since they came out with a new stylishly compact camera, the Lumix DMC FP8.

Aside from looking extremely sexy, the Lumix DMC FP8 has the following notable features:

• 12.1MP resolution
• 2.7 inch LCD
• HD video recording
• 28-128mm equivalent lens with folding optics (folding optics prevent damage to the lens when it gets dropped while its being used)
• Has a the “fastest autofocus” and start up time of 0.95 seconds
• Will be available in pink, red, brown and gray

I’m really intrigued about the quality of the photos this camera will be taking because the LX3 takes exceptionally sharp photos for a sleek camera. (But I don’t think it can be categorized as a compact point and shoot camera. More of a pro-sumer camera, I believe.) And I really have high expectations from the Lumix brand, so I can’t wait to see how this camera will perform in the point and shoot camera industry.

There are four new tiny, pocket-friendly cameras from Fujifilm: the A170, A220, J38 and the Z37. While I would love to talk about each and every model, the only one that caught my eye is the Z37, simply because the color selection is so nice, haha.

Aside from having a lovely shade of purple (which I totally love by the way), the FinePix Z37 has the following specifications:

• 10 megapixel
• 3x zoom
• 2.7inch LCD
• Auto-Scene Recognition, and Face Detection
• Blog Mode

If you’re not a purple person, it’s also available in pink/white, red/black, green and blue, and will have a retail price of $150 when it comes out in August.
