Brinell Purestorage Drives Are Chic!

All I can say is, any gadget that’s covered in leather, chrome or exotic wood-y skin can be very, very chic and sexy.
Like this portal HD from Brinell, for example. Probably one of the most chic external HDs I’ve seen around. And of course, for something that looks this good, it doesn’t have a pocket-friendly price. The HDs cost a whopping $250-$350! Woohoo!
Brinelle Purestorage HD comes in 2 sizes (and I’m not talking about the storage capacity): Purestorage XS (1.8″) and Purestorage S (2.5″). The storage capacity on the other hand can go upto 500GB capacity.
I personally love the ones …read more

Here’s a little quirky product from Quirky: The Split Stick.
The Split Stick is basically a double-sided USB thumb drive that allows you to organize your files into two (2) categories. Office and personal, Home and Away, His and Hers or whatever category you can think of.
The quirky Split Stick is two, two-gigabyte retractable USB drives that are built into one slim (four gigabyte) stick. – Quirky
The casing will be made of anodized aluminum body (think iPod) with a rubber layer for additional protection.
My favorite feature: it will be available in a variety of colors! From orange, blue, red, black, pink, …read more

I’m loving these uberly girly looking external hard drives from Samsung.
It’s called the Mini S2 portable HDD and it seems like it was really made for women.
Aside from looking like a compact make up mirror or kit, if you look closely, the designs are lined up little hearts! And it’s also available in colors only women would pick, haha.
Available in sizes ranging from 160GB to 500GB.
For now, there’s no news about its price and its availability.

I used to dislike SpongeBob. I hated it when I would catch my brother watching SpongeBob, and I would hear Spongebob’s annoying voice.
It drove me insane.
But now I have a new found respect for SpongeBob as he is now the face of a 64GB USB drive!
WOW! 64GB!!!!!
Memorette launched this square-shaped 64GB USB drive in Korea this month and is expected to be displayed at the upcoming CeBIT 2009.
No news on the pricing.
*shakes head* SpongeBob. Really, of all things!

Kyoto CatBar USB Drive: Cute or Creepy?

I personally feel creeped out with this Kyoto CatBar USB Drive from GeekStuff4U.
I don’t know why, but seeing a cat grin at you while it is hanging by its bum… well, I just find that image disturbing.
Anyway, that’s just me. Haha.
But seriously though, this adorable 2GB handmade cat USB drive is made of genuine Chirmen material. Chirmen is a traditional heavy crepe cloth for kimono.
That probably explains why this a USB drive with 2GB capacity is so expensive!

Do You Know That You Can Upgrade Your 1st Gen and 2nd Gen iPod Videos to 240GB Capacity?
February 17, 2009 by Lia Espina
Filed under External Storage, MP3 and Video Players
Yes, you can and this is made possible by Rapid Repair!
Rapid Repair is selling 1.8 inch Toshiba hard drives with 240GB of storage and these drives are compatible with 1st Gen and 2nd Gen iPod Videos!
That’s an additional 80GB more compared to the 160GB iPod Classic.
If you have $300 to spare, and if you’re willing to void your warranty (though I think by NOW most 1st Gen and 2nd Gen iPod videos are out of warranty… so…) then head on over to Rapid Repair.
You can opt to install the drive yourself (if you have the know-how, or feeling plain adventurous) …read more
