So you can imagine how durable the exterior of this laptop sleeve is. It’s also water-resistant, so you won’t have to worry much if you get stuck under the rain, or something. I can’t really say it’s water-proof. I don’t think your laptop will survive if you dunk it inside a swimming pool, while being inside this laptop sleeve.

The inside is well-padded with lightweight polar-fleece, so that your laptop is all snuggly and warm.

And if you’re seasoned traveller, you will definitely like this laptop sleeve as it satisfies TSA’s rules when going thru the airport x-ray.

I just love how this laptop bag is designed! Its sort of shaped like a backpack but it doesn’t have backpack shoulder straps. It’s actually a laptop tote bag or a shoulder bag since it comes with an adjustable shoulder strap.

So, again, even though it’s another day late, here’s the featured laptop bag for this week!

Not exactly the prettiest laptop bag around, but i think it’s appropriate since Halloween is just around the corner!

For one thing, it reminds me of pumpkins! It’s orange and it’s round! Hehe!

Here in the Philippines, pumpkin carving isn’t a big tradition. Actually, I don’t know of anyone who does that at all. It’s kind of sad though, since I totally find it cool.

Do you know that the first jack-o-lanterns were carved turnips? And when the Irish settled in America, they discovered the pumpkin and realized that they were easier to carve since they were so much larger. And that’s how pumpkins became the official Jack-o-lantern fruit!

Sony has recently released their newest Vaio, the Vaio X. It’s claiming to be the world’s lightest netbook at 1.6 pounds. (Hmm, I wonder how many laptops have claimed to be the lightest…) The Vaio X is also pretty thin and sleek with only half-inch in thickness.

Now look at the Vaio X’s keyboard. Doesn’t that scream MacBook at you? The spacing, the shape of the keys, how the keys are protruded. Seems awfully familiar!

Anyhoo, let me stop rambling and I’ll provide you with the Vaio X specifications:

Dell has recently released their new laptop called the Dell Latitude Z600, and as the title says, the most interesting feature of this laptop is the wireless charging feature.

You can buy an induction charging pad (not included in package, will cost an additional $200) and charge the Z600 without any wires.

Dell is also boasting about the Z600’s “Always On” feature where the Z600 can be kept in standby more for up to 12 hours, and while it’s on standby, it’s able to process tasks. Like for example, while it’s on standby, it can still retrieve your emails.

The Dell Z600 also has this feature called Face Aware where the laptop recognizes if you move away from the laptop (via the webcam) and automatically locks the laptop.

The Dell Z600 has a pretty interesting design, too. It has an angled edge where you can find a port (is that ethernet port or a USB port?).

As grand as the Z600 looks, so is the price! It’s going to have a starting price of $2000. High end laptop, I must say!

This HP netbook was unveiled at the Tam’s Spring 2010 fashion show during New York’s Fashion Week at Bryant Park last September 12. Inspired by the Chinese love story, “Butterfly Lovers” (Hmm, I’m intrigued, I’ve never heard of this story before… *googles*), the new Vivienne Tam netbook is covered with butterfly designs on a champagne-gold background. Purrtttty.

The design actually grows on you, the more you look at it, the prettier it becomes. So different from the first Vivienne Tam digital clutch. You know, fiery red flowers with an oomph.

Anyhoo, no official news yet on what the specs will be, or how much it’s going to cost. I guess we’ll have to wait until next Spring 2010! I wonder if it’s going to cost the same. I’m guessing it’ll be around $600-$700.

Hmmm, I want. Or, maybe I can buy the first digital clutch instead. Do you know that first Vivienne Tam digital clutch cost around $350 now in Amazon? Refurbished one anyways.

I sort of read an article that Nokia was considering entering the Netbook market. I read that around a week ago. And then one week after, hello Nokia netbook!

Anyway, here are the specifications of the Nokia Booklet 3G:

• Atom Z530 processor
• Runs on Window
• HDMI port
• 3G, Bluetooth
• SD card reader
• A-GPS and maps integration
• A webcam
• 12 hour battery life

The Nokia Booklet 3G is a 10 inch netbook. It doesn’t look that sleek in the photo though.

I’m pretty sure syncing your Nokia mobile phones will be easy as pie with this Netbook as it is included with Nokia’s Ovi tools.

No details on how much it will cost and WHEN exactly it will come out.

I’ve been wondering why the new MacBooks and MacBook Pros (MBP) are only available with the glossy screens. I personally like the matte screen (or anti-glare) better.

In my room, my computer table is in front of a window so it gets really annoying for me to use my laptop with a glossy screen when the sun is up. Fortunately for me, my laptop has the matte screen.

Though I noticed with my friend’s new MacBook (the one with the glossy screen), the colors are more vibrant and alive. So I guess if you’re a graphics designer, it’s better to use a glossy screen because the colors are more accurate. In a matte screen, the colors come out a little more muted than normal.

BUT on the other hand, I think eyestrain can be lessened with a matte screen. The topic of whether a matte screen or glossy screen has always been debatable. But in the end, it’s always the user’s preference that matters the most.

So, for those planning to buy a 15″ MacBook Pro, you now have the option to upgrade your screen to matte with an additional fee of $50, same with buying a 17″ MacBook Pro. Unfortunately for those planning to buy a 13″, the MacBooks are only available with the glossy option.

This laptop sleeve is made of neoprene material and can fit laptops up to 15.4″. That’s around the size of a 15″ MacBook Pro.

It also has exterior and interior zippered pockets for the cables, a mouse (if you use one) and other tiny stuff, like earphones or whatever. I’m just not sure if you can fit in extra documents in it since it’s only a sleeve and not exactly a laptop bag.

It also comes with a strap if you want to carry it around like a shoulder bag, or a messenger bag. But if paranoid about getting scoliosis, you can probably just use the built-in handle it has with both hands!

Really cute design, I have to say. I’m such a sucker for rainbows and anything colorful. Hopefully my week will be PEACEful enough and stress-free! *cross fingers*
