Launched by Mouse Computer Japan, this Hello Kitty Crystal music player comes with a 2GB built-in memory. Storage-wise not that really impressive, but since it’s studded with around 300 Swarovski crystals, who really cares?!

Hello Kitty Crystal Specifications:

• Has 5 EQ presets: Normal, Classical Jazz, Pop and Rock
• Supports MP3 and WMA file formats
• USB 2.0 player interface supports drag and drop function
• Comes with a specially designed Audio Technica earphones
• 10 hours of continuous playback time.

And ofcourse, it will be available in Japan starting October 30th. Guess you have to buy it online (good luck with translating Japanese sites!) or ask someone to buy it straight in Japan for you!

BUT, I guess they have their use, too. And there’s a market for iPhone or iPod Touch stands. Like for example, I wouldn’t mind having an iBend last three weeks ago when my laptop was in the Mac hospital. The iPod Touch was practically my connection to cyberspace! Email, surfing, watching videos, you name it. And I have to admit, if you use your iPhone or your iPod Touch heavily, you’d definitely want something to keep it propped up, instead of holding it with your hands for hours.

iBend was only available in boring black before, but now it’s available in cute designs. The iBend Artist Series has 12 new designs which are totally cute.

So the rumors are TRUE. Ok, I’m going to go straight to the point before I start losing my train of thoughts.

Call me stupid, but I assume that this iPod Nano can only take videos and not photos, right? I’ve tried clicking all over the Apple website and there’s absolutely no info about it being able to take still photos.

That’s so weird! Seriously, my mind is boggled. B-O-G-G-L-E-D!

I always assumed that video capabilities and still photos go hand in hand in this time of age and era. If this iPod Nano came out like 5 years ago, I can still accept the idea that it can ONLY take videos. But nowadays, any camera-enabled gadgets should be able to take BOTH videos and still photos. Heck even dSLRs nowadays are able to record videos now.

W-e-i-r-d.

So, there. What do you guys think of the new iPod Nano? I went thru a 5 second “Oh-wow-new-iPod-is-out” phase, but after realizing a MAJOR component is missing,  my happy balloon just got deflated.

I guess you can say I’m a bit old fashioned as I like my memories stored on still photos rather than videos. Videos capture a little too much memories (like looking like a fool you’ve had too much to drink at a party, hehehe)

So, my initial take on the new iPod Nano with Video Camera: It’s a half-baked, rushed idea. *shrug* It’s like Apple just decided to release the new iPod Nano,  just so they can say they released something new. But then, that’s just me.

Anyway, before you influenced by MY opinion, take a look at the other features of the new iPod Nano:

• New anodized aluminum finish in nine new colors
• Larger 2.2 inch display
• FM radio + Live Pause
• Pedometer and Nike + iPod
• Voice Memos

So there you go. What do you guys think?

You know, out of all the iPod designs, I like the 3rd generation Nano the best. The 3rd gen iPod Nano is the square one, if you’re not familiar with the generations. The new iPod Nanos now look like a tiny remote control, if you ask me. Hehe.

Anyway, here’s a cute and unique 3rd gen iPod nano accessory, the nanoTV! It’s perfect for those who love to watch videos on their iPod Nanos (tho I’m not sure if there’s still anyone out there who actually owns a 3rd gen Nano…)

The nanoTV is basically a little adapter/container that turns your 3rd gen iPod Nano into a cute, tiny TV. You insert the iPod Nano inside the nanoTV and the nanoTV’s screen magnifies the the display of the iPod Nano to a size of 2.8 inches. That’s 0.8 more than the usual. Not much difference, but still a big help on the eyes, I would think.

The nanoTV also has built-in speakers so you don’t have to use earphones. It’s really like watching from a TV, except the TV is made for really tiny people, hehe.

So if you have an old iPod 3rd gen Nano around, you might want to get these just to spice things up.

To be honest, I’m really not an expert on the Zune HD or any Zune models for that matter. I’m more of an iPod kind of girl, if you haven’t noticed or guessed by now.

But since every tech blog out there seems to be talking about the coming Zune HD, my curiosity’s been piqued! Why the heck is everyone going gaga over this Zune HD anyway?

Zune HD Features:

• Built-in HD radio receiver
• HD video output capabilities
• OLED touch screen
• Built-in WiFi
• Internet browser

The Zune HD will be available in 16GB and 32GB. The 16GB will be available in black while the 32GB model will come in a platinum finish. It will also come out in 5 other colors, but there’s no official word on what colors they are. There just HAS to be a pink model. And a white one.

Looks interesting enough. But I don’t think I’ll be trading in my iPod for the Zune. Though I have to admit, the Zune has a built-in radio receiver compared to the iPod (for the iPod you have to buy an extra accessory) so that’s a +1 to the Zune.

The netbook that Vivienne Tam designed for HP was gorgeous, so I’m not suprised that this MP3 player concept design is as equally gorgeous as well.

BUT before you guys run out of your house with the intention of grabbing one of these babies, let me remind you that this is STILL a concept product and is not yet available in the market, ok? Mmmm, kay!

Obviously this MP3 player is designed for Vivienne Tam’s VIP customer. By just looking at the rich and expensive-looking design, you can very well guess that this MP3 player will probably have a price tag that costs an arm and a leg, and maybe an eye, too. And while it’s called an MP3 player, I bet it’s going to be more of wearable accessory than a music player.

I do have to admit, it’s extremely gorgeous but I think it looks more like a bluetooth headset than an MP3 player. And omg, I wish they could think of a better name than Tam Walkman. (See my issue with Walkmans here, hehe)

I think Sony Walkmans are popular in Japan though… *musing*

Personally, I think the reason why Sony Walkmans aren’t popular is because of the name. I mean, come on, Walkman? It just feels so… old school! So prehistoric! Haha. Walkmans remind of those huge portable casette players, which for me, just aren’t cool. Hehehe.

Maybe if they give Sony Walkmans a new name, they’d be more popular. But then, that’s just me.

Anyway, speaking of latest Sony Walkman model, Sony is coming out with a new revision to its apparently popular S Series.

It will have a bigger screen, has 4 color options (yay!) and will be having a built-in speaker. See image above.

There’s no news about when it’s actually coming out, though.

As a Gadgenista, I want an iPod dock that’s cute and definitely something I can tote around, especially when I go to the beach.

Looking around the net, I found the perfect (for me anyway) iPod dock!

It’s cute, it’s pink and it’s very portable, haha! It actually looks like a purse. Maybe that’s why I’m drawn towards it. Hello, bags…!

If you guys noticed, the new iPod Shuffle doesn’t seem to have any external controls, except for the remote that’s built-in with the earphones.

I’m sure you guys are wondering how the heck do you go thru the playlist or adjust the volume, etc, etc so here’s a little guide on how to use the new iPod Shuffle.

Hm, seems pretty complicated for a simple, tiny little thing! Haha. So many things to remember, haha!
