My obsession with portable speakers have been squelched somewhat when Apple came out with the iPod Touch. The iPod Touch as you all know already has built-in speakers.
But sometimes I can’t help but admire portable speakers such as these! They’re so darn cute. And so tiny too, so it’s really perfect for toting around.
These speakers are not only compatible with iPods, but they’re also compatible with other brands of MP3 players and even cellphones! These portable speakers operate on two (2) AAA batteries. I prefer USB chargeable speakers, but I guess these work, too if you’re going out of town …read more

My friend has this speakers and I’ve been wanting to write about then for some time now. But never really gotten to it. And then I saw them again at the DS Styles website and got reminded.
So here I am writing about them, haha!
For a portable speaker, they’re pretty decent. Don’t expect like high quality sound or anything like that. But if you’re off to the beach or to a picnic, these are pretty decent speakers to have if you want to have some sort of background music while enjoying your little activity.
What I totally love about them is the …read more

Most iPod docks on the market are either too boring to look at or cater more to manly audiophiles. And most of the time, they’re not that portable.
As a Gadgenista, I want an iPod dock that’s cute and definitely something I can tote around, especially when I go to the beach.
Looking around the net, I found the perfect (for me anyway) iPod dock!
It’s cute, it’s pink and it’s very portable, haha! It actually looks like a purse. Maybe that’s why I’m drawn towards it. Hello, bags…!
Anyway, this iLive Portable Dock for the iPod is a speaker, charger and AM/FM radio …read more
Compact-Shaped Speaker For Girly Gadgenista
May 26, 2009 by Lia Espina

Here’s an MP3 speaker any pink-loving, girly Gadgenista might want to own!
It’s pink and it’s shaped like a compact, with a mirror! It also has a customizable faceplate, so you can slip any photo or image to your liking.
One thing I don’t like about this though is that you need 3 AAA batteries. It would have been much nicer if it’s USB powered. It would be sooo annoying to run out of batteries while listening to your favorite music, won’t it?
Uses a 3.5mm jack and connects to any MP3 player or your computer.
Price: $25

Here’s a little gadget health buffs would love! The Podio!
The Podio is a speaker/PMP (portable medial player) combo that you can attach to your bike’s handlebars so you can listen while you cycle away!
Its pretty light, weighs around 139 grams (as heavy as a cellphone or something) and has 2GB storage. Speaker power is around 1.5 watt and has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that powers up the Podio for around 9 to 24 hours of use.
I guess this is better than cycling with your earphones and iPod. For one thing, no tangled cables!
I’m just not sure if people around you …read more

I know you guys will be surprised to know, but I’m not fond of video chatting. I know, right, and I’m supposed to be the Gadgenista, haha.
But anyway, I don’t like video chatting for the following reasons:
I feel silly because it feels like I’m talking to myself. (I’m quirky as it is already)
Video chatting makes me feel clunky because I have to wear a headset (oww my ear) and then have a mic poking my cheek or lips; and
I don’t look pretty on video chat. (HAHAHAHA, i’m kidding!)
But seriously, reason #2 is actually just the main reason. But with the …read more
