You know, I have to say, the laptop line of Apple has pretty decent built-in speakers. But they do lack a little bit of oomph when it comes to playing bass-based songs. In terms of clarity, the sound quality is pretty darn good, though. Music and sounds don’t come out sound like it’s coming from a tin can.

The BassJump is a portable subwoofer for MacBooks that can help in enhancing your bass experience. It’s very easy to use, pretty much plug and play with a single USB cable. The USB cable is used to power the BassJump so there’s no need for an extra outlet and very portable, too. It also comes with its own software.

If you’re wondering whether this subwoofer can be used for MacBook Pros, I’m not entirely sure since it specifically says it’s made for just MacBooks. If any MacBook Pro user gets to try it out, let me know!

But sometimes I can’t help but admire portable speakers such as these! They’re so darn cute. And so tiny too, so it’s really perfect for toting around.

These speakers are not only compatible with iPods, but they’re also compatible with other brands of MP3 players and even cellphones! These portable speakers operate on two (2) AAA batteries. I prefer USB chargeable speakers, but I guess these work, too if you’re going out of town and you’re not bringing a laptop or computer around.

I’m not sure about the sound quality of these speakers so don’t expect too much! But at $19.00, I bet they’re more than decent.

Ooooh, white speakers. I love it! This will look perfect in my future house!

Have I ever told you guys that the design of my dream house will be all white with a splash of color? And isn’t this speaker just the epitome of that design? All white with a splash of pink and purple. Purrttty.

While the JVC UX-LP7 is made to be used with an iPod, it is also compatible with other devices that can be plugged in via USB . It also has a CD player (when was the last time you played music from a CD anyway?) and an AM/FM radio tuner.

Like most speaker docks, it also comes with a remote control.

This purttty little gadget will be on sale in Japan by November and hopefully, be on sale in other countries as well. But I think chances of that will be pretty slim since what comes from Japan usually stays in Japan. *sigh*

So here I am writing about them, haha!

For a portable speaker, they’re pretty decent. Don’t expect like high quality sound or anything like that. But if you’re off to the beach or to a picnic, these are pretty decent speakers to have if you want to have some sort of background music while enjoying your little activity.

What I totally love about them is the size. So very portable, small enough to fit inside your pocket (if you’re wearing baggy pants) or your bag, and not worry about having to carry extra weight around.

It also has this retractable resonator thingie that gives you a “stronger effect” and better bass.

The iOdeum Portable Speaker is powered by a rechargeable li-ion battery that you can charge via USB. If you don’t want to directly attach it to your iPod or if you are using another brand of MP3 player, it also comes with cables compatible with other players.

My friend has it in red (or is it hot pink?), and it also seems it’s available in white and black!

As a Gadgenista, I want an iPod dock that’s cute and definitely something I can tote around, especially when I go to the beach.

Looking around the net, I found the perfect (for me anyway) iPod dock!

It’s cute, it’s pink and it’s very portable, haha! It actually looks like a purse. Maybe that’s why I’m drawn towards it. Hello, bags…!

Here’s an MP3 speaker any pink-loving, girly Gadgenista might want to own!

It’s pink and it’s shaped like a compact, with a mirror! It also has a customizable faceplate, so you can slip any photo or image to your liking.

One thing I don’t like about this though is that you need 3 AAA batteries. It would have been much nicer if it’s USB powered. It would be sooo annoying to run out of batteries while listening to your favorite music, won’t it?

The Podio is a speaker/PMP (portable medial player) combo that you can attach to your bike’s handlebars so you can listen while you cycle away!

Its pretty light, weighs around 139 grams (as heavy as a cellphone or something) and has 2GB storage. Speaker power is around 1.5 watt and has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that powers up the Podio for around 9 to 24 hours of use.

I guess this is better than cycling with your earphones and iPod. For one thing, no tangled cables!

I’m just not sure if people around you will appreciate the kind of music you’ll be playing, haha. And if that’s the case, you can always attach your earphones to the Podio!

And even if you’re not a cyclist, you can still use carry Podio around your neck or in your pocket.
