Are YOU Brave Enough to Rock a ‘Bandage Dress’?

I’m noticing many celebs wearing the Herve Leger Bandage dress lately

And some love the dress so much they are repeat offenders:

So I thought to myself,“Hmm…Do I have the nerve, the audacity, the courage, to rock such a dress?”
Mind you, I am 9 months post-baby and um…I dunno…though I’d SURE love to squeeze into a dress like this, I’m not sure I could pull it off. Le sigh…
Oh to have oodles of money and be able to spit a baby out and rock a bandage dress right after like Melanie Brown aka Mel B. seems to have done (she’s also a Herve Leger repeat offender):

*Forced smile through clenched teeth* Amazing…
I guess I better get to work on my fitness. *Eyes dust covered gym bag*

C’mon tell me: Would you wear a super tight dress like the Herve Leger Bandage Dress?

probably not anymore. I did back in my college days, no babies, no hubby either..hehe
umm well since I’m plus size.. I wouldn’t wear anything that clings to my body like that…. but they are definitely rocking those outfits.
TC
I wouldn’t, but if a celebrity’s paying a lot for their body anyway, they figure they may as well show it off.
I’m kinda surprised that most of the reactions I received were ‘No’ in regards to wearing a dress like this. I don’t know why I”m so surprised by this, but I am! Granted if you don’t wear it the right way it’s borderline hooker-ish, but I mean…Oh, I dunno..who am I kidding?
I would definately rock the bandage dress. i have acoke bottle shape and I bet it will fit just right..TO BAD I can’t afford..anybody know where I can get a cheaper version of Herve Leger??
I just bought one of the Herve Leger dresses for my 25th Birthday and I cannot wait to rock it out! Simply classic and beautiful!
RandralC, Hmm.. good idea for a Same Style For Less feature…*wheels in brain turning* Hmmm…
Ooh Christy! Which one did you get? And which color? When’s your birthday/when are you wearing it? (Sorry for all the questions, but shopping gets me talkin’ a mile a minute!) Either way, I’m sure it will look fantabulous on you!
I got the ruffle dress and it says its a gravel color. I’m also thinking about buying the gunmetal dress just in case the ruffle one doesn’t work out. I’ve never tried on either since I live in AZ and don’t have time to get to NY (where I ordered from). My bday is Oct 12th so I can’t wait!!! I wish he had more locations than the 4. xoxo
http://www.labellecoquette.com they have it for cheap if anyone cares
Check out the Herve Leger like dresses at LALALANDCOUTURE.com. They have a great selection at great prices. Bandage dresses, sweater dresses and more. I bought several. They also have the latest accessories.
I also bought a dress from LALALANDCOUTURE.com.IT is gorgeous!
I purhcased a couple of bandage style dresses for $47 at Bella Stretch, they fit beautifully and it looks like the Herve Leger ones. Kisha

I am 26 and have 3 kids, and have fallen completely in love with these dresses. I do believe I could totally rock one (I’m a size 4/6 on top, 8 on bottom), however, it is hard to have champagne taste on a root beer budget! I have seen a few of the knockoffs, but I’m not sure they would have the same “holdin’ it in” properties of the original. IE: not as flattering. There’s one on Bebe’s webpage right now that is promising and tempting, while still a bit expensive.
I would definitely wear them. I think its a sexy style. It doesn’t have to be too “skanky” if it’s a proper length. If you got the body for it, i say rock it.
i wouls totally wear this! they look so sexy!!
does anyone know where i can get a cheaper version in the uk?
Dear Anna,
Lalalandcouture.com has cheaper versions of the dress. They look really nice. They ship all over the world.

I would TOTALLY wear one of these dresses! Especially if it does what it’s supposed to do: suck you in and push you out. Here’s a post with some of the new styles for Fall 2008 and Spring 2009. Also, some cheap alternatives. The Bandage Dress Craze
I would rock a bandage dress any night.. or day!!
Love handles or not, these are amazing and make any woman feel HAWT
I was leary of buying an online knock-off because I wanted it to fit right and have the smoothing capabilities of the Herve Leger’s. I’m a small size 4/6, but I am NOT in perfect shape. I tried some on at Bebe and they are awesome! These dresses flattened my tummy and made me look curvy in all the right places. I ended up buying the pink and black dress. LOVE it and can’t wait to rock it. http://www.bebe.com/gp/product/B001AIJUK2/sr=1-5/qid=1224944445/ref=sr_1_5/104-6420885-6042336?ie=UTF8&fontColor=000000&node=259134011&m=A2FMOXN01TSNYY&totalItemIn1Page=20&startIndex=0&displayPageNum=1&bbBrand=core&field-clothing-size=&keywords=&firstPageItemNum=0&title=&restPageHasColor=0&myViewID=embedded&displaySalePrice=0&displayItemNum=12&standardPageSize=12&size=12&rh=n%3A259134011&page=1&bgColor=
I think if you got is flaunt it, post baby, pre baby it doesn’t matter. If you try the dress on and it makes you feel good, rock it out. I guess I am not the only one who found the lalaland couture site. its really a good one. There are plenty of knockoffs around, but really, nothing beats the real thing!!
I would definately give it a go !
I just bougt a stunning metallic silver bandage dress at LALALANDCOUTURE.com. Perfect fir, perfect silhouette, very reasonable price. I got a lot of compliments.
