Comfy, Everyday Clothes

Let’s fall back on the super sexy clothing, shoes and accessories for just a second. Let’s talk real-life everyday wear. As in, “Dammit, baby needs more ________ (insert item here), gotta run to the store/mall/Walmart/Target (Tarjé)”, wherever. You get the drift. Clothing you can put on without giving too much thought or preparation.  Finally!  I’m talking about real-life stuff, huh?  :)

Allow me to introduce to you the California Fleece collection by American Apparel.

Now, ignore the overtly sexy pic of the green zip jogger (it was the only one I could find with a female modeling it–and this is tame compared to some other advertising pics as American Apparel is no stranger to controversy). Just focus on the point of this post: that the set is probably one of the most comfortable suits you’ll ever buy. You can also get the hooded version:

They came very highly recommended by a co-worker of mine (she wore hers often and owns more than one). She told me about them during an office chit-chat about how us tall gals (I’m about 5′9″) always have problems finding pants that are long enough to fit us (my co-worker is 6′1″–yes, 6′1″. She’s a goddess!) Specifically, jogging pants. One wash of any other jogging suit I’ve owned shrank so much I’d have to give them away or risk walking around in ‘high-waters’. Perish the thought! Like my girl, Whitney Houston would say, “Oh hell to the naw!”

The top and pant set together will set you back around $100.00, or you can purchase each piece separately. If I had to choose one over the other I’d recommend getting the pants as you can put them with any top you wish (t-shirt, tank, etc). The pants are $32.00 USD ($40.00 CDN). But I’ll tell you a secret: you can find them much cheaper on Amazon. Shhhhhhh! :)

All in all, these are for the days when you just want to throw your hair in a ponytail, put on some flip flops and run errands. Or not. You can put the set on for just about anything really.  Believe me, you’ll thank for me for it!

My hubby loves American Apparel…. but since they don’t have plus sizes i don’t play it much attention…. but I love being comfortable…. I don’t know any women that doesn’t.

For sure. I’m definitely one for comfy clothes. I’m surprised they don’t have plus sizes. I coulda swore I saw some larger sizes for these suits. I could be wrong though…
