Help! Steve Madden.com Is Holding My Wallet Hostage!

Gals (and lurking guys–LOL–*wink*) I need your help.
See, I’m going to a wedding in a few weeks, and I’ve been looking for a neutral/nude/taupe colored pump to wear with the dress I have. I did my usual searches and landed on a clearance item on SteveMadden.com
SONIK pump (in Taupe patent, other colors available):
Very simple pump, the color is perfect for my dress and at $47.99 on clearance, hey, I couldn’t lose. So I ordered it. Case closed, right? Or so I thought…
Then I decide to keep ‘browser window shopping’ (as I call it) and wanted to see what other shoes SM has in-store for Fall ‘08. Why, oh why, did I do that??

Ok. So here’s where I need you guys: I don’t want to (pre)order them. I really, um, don’t. Please give me some reasons as to why I shouldn’t (besides the price)… I really need convincing b/c my heart is weak and the shoes are calling me…

Sweetheart, don’t (pre)order! What if you find something much better while you are waiting for these to come? Remember, each and every designer out there is going to make their own version of this style, so WAIT and spend your money wisely. As a fashion designer and celebrity stylist, i’m giving you the gospel truth. Even payless might end up making a copy lol
How often are you really going to wear these shoes? Thats always my way of thinking of it. Are you going to wear these once a week, once a month, once a year! lol So not worth it, you know fall is about to bring a sleu of new styles our way, save the dough for something you’re going to wear often and not just sometimes maybe.

The nude pumps are great and they’re a classic you’ll wear forever. The other shoes are really hot, but you won’t get much use out of them. And with fall/winter coming, you won’t want to wear open toed shoes!
I think I’m in the same predicament as the bloggist b/c I’m wanna buy these shoes soooo badly but I can’t bring myself to pay 169.95 for them. I’m so confused as to what to do. I need these shoes!!!!
