Hot or Not? Joy Bryant’s Mellow Yellow Missoni Dress

I love that actress Joy Bryant is wearing yellow, the “it” color for spring. Because of the sunny hue, this strapless dress by Missoni is indeed eye-catching, but I’m not sure the design totally works. The shapeless draping makes it look more like a dressy beach wrap than a formal gown. And from the way she’s holding it (second photo), it appears to be too long.
Bryant, a former model who had a breakthrough performance in Denzel Washington’s “Antwone Fisher,” recently appeared in an episode of “seriously, I’m about to freak out” stylist Rachel Zoe’s reality TV show “The Rachel Zoe Project.” I wonder if Zoe, who has styled Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan and leans towards hippie chic designs, picked this dress for Joy. I also fancy bohemian fashion, but this frock doesn’t fit well and one false move and Joy would get more “exposure” on the red carpet than she bargained for.

I think that the colour works great on her. She has an amazing body and could have enhanced her look using a much need belt or sash of some sort. Other than that I think she looks fresh and fabulous, a natural beauty!
You are completely wrong here. this dress looks amazing on her, and it looks exactly as it should. The length is bold, the cut is bold, and it is a brilliant choice. rachel zoe probably did, in fact, dress her in this, and i say bravo! and also, if you’ll notice, she is wearing David Yurman jewelry..another one of Rachel Zoe’s top picks. I am in LOVE with this dress, and being that I cannot afford this wonder, i am currently trying to find a look-alike, or some similar fabric that I can try to create this great llok with! wish me luck!! And Joy, Rachel, if you read this, it’d be absolutely WONDERFUL of you if you would donate this to me for an upcoming wedding in Palm Springs this April!?!
