I’ve Been Tagged!

So they got me. My fellow b5media “sistren” blogger, Sasha Manuel of Tops 2 Bottoms,
tagged in me in the little game going around the network, “7 Random Facts About…”

Here are the rules: Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to then report this on their own blog with their 7 things as well as these rules. They then need to tag 7 others and list their names on their blog. They are also asked to leave a comment for each of the tagged, letting them know they have been tagged and to read the blog.

Sasha added a little tidbit to the game: “… listing 7 random facts about the “fashionista” behind [your] fashion blog…”

OK. I won’t make my list strictly about fashion, but will throw a fashion/beauty thing or two things in there. So here goes:

1. I love dark/black nail polish. I even wore it the day I gave birth. I swear I’d wear it every day if I could, but damn, who has time to maintain the look?! Chipped nail polish is sooo not hot…
2. Head scarves rock. As a new mother I have absolutely no time to maintain my crazy curls daily, so wrapping a scarf around my head diva style does the trick every time.
3. I’m the proudest native New Yorker you’ll ever meet. Though I’ve been living in Canada now for 4 years, I still represent my hometown to the fullest.
4. I love Lite Rock music from the 60s-80s. Shhhh! Our little secret. My parents didn’t listen to it, so how I know all the lyrics to California Dreamin’ and Escape (The Pina Colada Song) I swear, I’ll never know.
5. Speaking of music, I’m also a diehard Hip-Hop fan. I can recite rhymes from Nas to Mobb Deep to Wu-Tang with the best of them. What can I say? I’m full of surprises.
6. I have a guitar that I never learned how to play that has been sitting, collecting dust in my closet, for 2 years. I know, I know… and I’m ashamed!
7. I cannot live without my Blistex DCT. I bring it with me everywhere I go (my purse, in baby’s diaper bag, in suitcase when I travel, you name it) and wear it as a base when wearing lipgloss/lipstick.
