Watching the stunning Kimora Lee Simmons’ Style Network show, “Life in the Fab Lane,” is is one of my reality TV guilty pleasures. Kimora puts the D in DIVA, yet she manages to be both self-absorbed and self-deprecating.
On a recent episode, she recruited Vogue editor Andre Leon Talley’s opinion on this dress she wore to the Costume Institute Gala at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum. The event’s theme was “Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy,” but what do you think?
Was Kimora’s hand-painted gown worthy of a super-shero or in need of an intervention from the fashion super friends?

I disapprove…she is such a stunning woman, but this dress is over the top and unflattering, imho!
I would have loved this print if it was just a top. But as a full-length dress, it’s just “too much”. As just a top with a black skirt or pants, it would have looked fabulous.
considering the theme of the event it was appropriate.
As someone who appreciates different, this is just too different for me. I agree, it would look much better as just a top but it’s too much. She did the smart thing of keeping her hair and accessories simple.
I approve; Kimora is gorgeous! And being so tall, she really dresses for her height
this dress is amazing. iam a painter so i can understand. it looks incredible with those lines and the colors together are spectacular!!
