I was flipping channels this morning and came across a morning talk show segment on Stop Staring!, a glam collection of dresses inspired by old Hollywood glamour. And well, I couldn’t stop staring. The sexy, retro chic dresses will hug your womanly curves and flatter every figure (they’re available up to size 18).
Designer Alicia Estrada started the line in 2005 and her Los Angeles-based business was awarded “Minority Manufacturing Firm of the Year.” Estrada was inspired by vintage styles and the rockabilly scene and she incorporates details from those eras in her head-turning dresses and separates.

Hot or Not? Eva Mendes’ Animal Print Dress

Eva Mendes. Love her. The stunning actress is one of the best dressed women in Hollywood. The only problem is, Eva’s becoming better known for her fashion sense than for her movie roles. Did anyone see “The Spirit?” Unfortunately, I did.
Yet, on the red carpet the Cuban beauty rarely disappoints. Here’s Eva at the opening ceremony of the 66th Venice Film Festival. She was in Italy to promote her movie, “Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans” co-starring Nicholas Cage and Val Kilmer. Not a bad gig.
I like (but don’t love) Eva’s sexy red leopard print dress, and her super …read more
Eva Mendes’ Bedding Collection for Macy’s

It’s no news flash that Eva Mendes is a Hot Mama. Whenever I see her, I think of her as a Latina Cindy Crawford. But what is unexpected is that such a sexy starlet is on the pulse of what homemakers and working women want when it comes to their choice of bedding and window treatments.
Recently, Mendes debuted her second, affordably-priced “Vida by Eva Mendes” home collection for Macy’s. The voluptuous star of “Sin City” and the abysmal “Spirit” (sorry Eva) debuted her new”Vida” line wearing a pretty, red and white floral frock that matches her precious “Penelope” four-piece …read more

Fashion heavyweights flocked to New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) Costume Institute Gala Benefit “Celebrating the Model as Muse.“ Here are a few fashion hits and misses that caught Hot Mama Daily’s attention.
The Beautiful
As usual, Eva Mendes knows how to work the red carpet and looks like a glamazon in this shimmery Calvin Klein gown. My vote? But of course darling, Eva is on fire. Caliente!
The Bold
Whatever you think of Rihanna’s style, you have to give the girl props for not being afraid to take risks. At first glance, I loved Rihanna in this daring Dolce and Gabbana tux — a masculine …read more

We look to our Hollywood she-roes and public figures for wardrobe inspiration, however, certain popular women of color command our attention more than others with their undeniable flair for fashion.
That’s why Rihanna, Michelle Obama, Eva Mendes, Penelope Cruz, and Halle Berry are Hot Mama Daily’s picks for the “5 Most Stylish Women of Color.“
Rihanna may be going through a rough patch in her personal life, but being hailed Hot Mama Daily’s “Most Stylish” should help to lift her spirits. The pop singer’s style is young, hip, and cutting edge.
Michelle Obama is hands-down the best dressed First Lady since Jackie O. Her …read more
Hot Mama of the Week: Eva Mendes!

Eva Mendes was a breath of fresh air at the red carpet premiere of her new film, “The Spirit.” The gorgeous Cuban actress has always reminded me of a cross between Cindy Crawford and Sophia Loren, and she looks absolutely stunning in this bold yellow, flower-accented gown from Bill Blass’ Spring 2009 collection.
Unlike fellow Latina beauty Rosario Dawson, who…er… experienced a wardrobe malfunction in an ill-fitting, one-sleeved frock at this week’s premiere of “Seven Pounds,” Eva’s strapless dress flatters her curves and is a real show stopper. Her upswept hair and matte makeup are flawless and make Eva’s Hollywood …read more
