You can’t beat the style or the price.  I picked up a plaid jacket similar to this one at my local Forever 21.

I’m going to put this groovy plaid poncho on my Christmas list; that is, the list of gifts I want for myself.

Belted Check Vest, $32.90

This belted red and black check vest is super cute.  I’m not sure how warm it will keep you, but wear it with a sweater and scarf and you’ll be ski-bunny-lounge ready.

Gingham Shirt Jacket, $32.90

I didn’t see this totally cute gingham shirt jacket at Forever 21 when I popped in last week. It’s official, I’m mad for plaid!

Amber Rose

Decades later, the denim jacket trend is all the rage again and a style staple on red carpet darlings like Rihanna, Ciara, and Kanye West-arm candy Amber Rose. 

Jean jackets are also the perfect addition to your summer to fall transitional wardrobe.

The modern take on the denim jacket seems to be more fitted and cropped shorter.  Below, check out the cool styles I found at one of my favorite stores, Forever 21:

The Dean jacket has 3/4 sleeves with slit cuffs. Novelty touches like vertical pockets at the waist and slightly curved patch pockets with flaps on the chest make this a cute back-to-school cover-up.

Elisha Denim Jacket, $26.90

The long-sleeved Elisha jacket features lightly distressed detail on its front, side and chest pockets, a full length button placket, and antique finish logo hardware.

Alexa Denim jacket, $24.80

The Alexa is a casual denim jacket featuring a six antique metal buttons two-side entry front pockets, buttoned tabs at the back, subtle frayed accents, and a finished hem.

Green vintage dress, $18

I love to shop, particularly at consignment shops, flea markets, clothing swaps (if you haven’t gotten in on this free trend yet, ladies, what are you waiting for?), thrift stores, and fashion-forward discount retailers like H&M, Target, and Forever 21.  And I launched my Etsy stores a couple years ago to make some spare change and to test the waters for my goal to one day open my own, brick-and-mortar boutique.

Skinny Waistband Bamboo Skegging

I need these bamboo leggings ($30) by Brooklyn active wear shop Omala for the yoga routine I’ve yet to start. The leggings have an attached skirt that cinches for added style and that nicely conceals your bottom.

Earth Shoes "Kati" sandal

I’ve heard good things about Earth Shoes, the fashionable way to lose weight with every step.  And these “Kati”sandals  in antique silver leather ($149) look cute and comfy.
