I’m still trying to get over the news that Oprah Winfrey will end her reign as daytime talk show queen in 2011 to focus on her forthcoming cable network. Well, not really. I mean, I’ll miss the big O. She’s an inspiration to African-American women in particular. But except for must-see episodes like her interview with Whitney Houston, I haven’t regularly watched “The Oprah Winfrey Show” in years.
And with Oprah ready to take a bow at the end of her 25th season, who will be able to fill her designer shoes?

When Does Big and Beautiful = Overweight?

I wrestle with this question. African-American and Latina women tend to have a healthier body image than women of other races. Although I don’t believe you have to be stick thin or weight obsessed to be beautiful, I do believe in being healthy. Your body mass index (BMI) can help determine your healthy weight range based on your height. But even without a scale, we know when we’re in shape and when we’re not.

Is there something Paula Patton wants to tell R&B crooner hubby Robin Thicke? The lovely actress looks awful cozy with rock star Lenny Kravitz in Cannes…but there I go starting Hollywood rumors again, when in fact Robin has nothing to worry about.
Pretty Paula and ladies-man Lenny were merely posing for photos at the red carpet premiere of ”Precious,” the powerful Oparah Winfrey and Tyler Perry-backed film in which they costar with Mariah Carey and Mo’Nique (watch the riveting You Tube trailer below).
Ah, but what a pretty pair.
