My, oh Mya! How did this talented pretty young thang lose the “Dancing with the Stars” crown to Donny Osmond? She was robbed I tell you, robbed. The R&B songbird didn’t just think she could dance; she could bust a move. Just ask perpetually in-heat DWTS judge Bruno.
On the bright side, at least the show has put the Maryland native, who sang with Christina Aguilera, Pink and ‘Lil Kim on the hit remake of “Lady Marmalade” and had a role in the dance chorus of the Academy-Award-winning musical, “Chicago,” back in the spotlight. Macy Gray and Mya on Dancing with the Stars

“Dancing with the Stars” returns on September 21 with a new crop of B and C-list celebs ready to mambo, cha-cha, and waltz their way into the hearts of the judges and viewing audience. Among this season’s sixteen “stars” are quirky, Grammy-winner Macy Gray and pretty R&B starlet Mya.
I have high hopes for Mya, a fellow Maryland native who studied tap dance with Savion Glover, performed in the Oscar-winning film adaptation of the musical “Chicago,” and sang with Christina Aguilera and Pink and strutted her stuff in the video for the remake of “Lady Marmalade.”
