When I passed by the newsstand and saw Jada Pinkett-Smith on the August cover of Shape magazine, I did a double take.  The petite mother of two looks so ab fab that my immediate thought was, “How does she stay in such great shape?” I also wondered if she’s had a little too much Botox, but I’ll save that discussion for another post.

Remember the original Aunt Viv from “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”?  Well, Janet Hubert, who portrayed that character is talking about her turbulent times on the popular sitcom that launced Will Smith to stardom.
According to Janet, she was black-balled in Hollywood after she claims Will had her fired from the show.  Although Mr. Smith was clearly the star, I always thought the actress was an elegant, natural beauty, and missed her when she left.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Rosario Dawson for Essence magazine several years back when she was promoting the film version of “Rent.”  The sexy Latina is even prettier in person and she’s super nice.  So I had high hopes for the native New Yorker’s dress selection for Tuesday’s Hollywood premiere of “Seven Pounds,” in which she co-stars with Will Smith.

I’m so proud of fellow Baltimore native Jada Pinkett Smith.  She snagged one of the richest, cutest, and most talented men in Hollywood, and she’s an accomplished actress in her own right.  Jada is also a proud hot mama, and her kids — daughter Willow and son Jaden — are following in their parents’ footsteps.  Above, the beautiful Smith family is pictured at the premiere of “The Day the Earth Stood Still” (opens Friday), starring hottie Keanu Reeves and co-starring little heartbreaker Jaden.
