Baby at 8 weeks 4 days

This would be my little peanut measuring in at 8 weeks 4 days. His/her heartbeat was strong at 175 bpm and was wiggling around a bit. I loved watching that little heart pumping.
The top there would be the head, body underneath and that small thin white line that goes from top to bottom on the right side of the body is the umbillical cord.
When it was wiggling I did see two little sticks for arms and two leg buds. I’m told I need to rest, as there is a small bleed at the placenta. Hopefully this is something that resolves itself, as I don’t have the word “rest” in my vocabulary.
We will know in 10-12 weeks if this is a little boy or little girl.
Shannon, that is so cool! I’m actually 7 weeks, 2 days (pretty sure, anyway – hasn’t been confirmed by the doc yet) along with our first beanie. My first appt is on Tuesday, and seeing this makes me even more excited! Congrats on your peanut :)
Oh how neat! So we could end up possibly having our babies around the same time! Aww. :)
Wow and your first! This would be my…5th pregnancy, but I lost that one in January, so this is my 4th child. I’ll tell you, when you have your ultrasound and see that little heart pumping away, you cry. ;)
