Sephora is having a gift set sale on Bare Escentuals (seen above). It’s a 9 piece set that retails for $131 and is on sale for $55 (sounds like a steal to me).
I personally have never used Bare Escentuals, but they seem to be everywhere. QVC, infomercials (sometimes I can’t sleep), my mother’s makeup case…I can’t seem to get away from them.
So if you have used Bare Escentuals, speak up. Tell me your opinion on them.

Love love love!!!!
I think the foundation (all I’ve tried so far) can have a little too “glowy” of a finish for us oily-skinned gals sometimes, but overall I really like it…it does what it says and it’s gotten me to delve into the realm of powder foundations (I used to wear nothing but pressed blotting powder ’cause everything else felt too heavy).
I used to be a faithful follower of Bare Escentuals products. It’s my first mineral makeup, ever. :) It’s perfect for the Brr months because the only gripe some users have is the itchy bismuth oxychloride content , that pretty much becomes “itchy” when it’s hot :)
Corinne, it’s the mica that makes it glowy. Sometimes I don’t want to be glowy either.
Juliet, I heard about bismuth. Twisted Fayte Mineral Makeup doesn’t have bismuth and that is who I mainly have been using.
the bare escentual’s kabuki brush also hurts! with bismuth, you have to buff it into the skin and you can already feel the irritation from that. i think there are so many great alternatives that bare escentuals seems really overpriced now!
This combination set looks really great. Bare Escentuals products always comes in pretty packaging.
