Blinc Kiss Me Mascara

blinc kiss me mascaraI recently received Blinc Kiss Me Mascara from Misikko. I’ve heard about this “tube” technology for your lashes and I was quite intrigued. Would it look like tubes? Better yet, will it feel like tubes?

With Kiss Me Mascara you have to apply it to your lashes before you apply your moisturizer. This is due to the oils in the moisturizer and the mascara formula possibly not adhering right. You also twist the mascara wand up vs. pumping it to coat the wand. I received dark brown, yet on my lashes it appeared black.

You layer on the applications before the mascara dries; to get length you spring the wand gently on the tips of your lashes. Amazingly, I had awesome length. In terms of volume it was 50/50. Kiss Me Mascara coated every lash giving me definition–but it lacked in adding any thickness to my lashes. This mascara also wasn’t heavy or brittle on my lashes, but it was a bit clumpy.

Blinc Kiss Me Mascara didn’t smudge or smear and it lasted all day blinc kiss me mascaraperfectly intact. I chose to use makeup remover (Lancome Bi-Facil) to take it off when I was removing the rest of my makeup. At first it didn’t budge, but when I pressed down on my lashes and then pulled the cotton pad forward, the tubes came right off. It wasn’t messy and it looked more like thin scraps of paint than tubes.

I would say that the look of this mascara on me was very similar to Imju’s Fiberwig, except without all of the fibres–which means that if you are a contact lens wearer, Kiss Me Mascara is safe for you.

Blinc Kiss Me Mascara is available at Misikko for $23.

Because I fall asleep with my makeup on at times — “I bad” especially for a beauty blogger — after I got over the little black things wiggling on my pillow in the morning, I learned to love the mascara.
Cute pic of you and your beautiful child on earlier post.
