Fall Makeup Trend: It’s All About the Skin

Gucci Westman was ahead of this trend when she launched Lancome’s L.U.C.I. last Spring. For fall, healthy looking skin is what is in–and if you don’t have it–fake it!
This luminious skin-like look is a cross between matte and dewy, something radiant and that exudes a palette without imperfections. This is one look that is about having a minimalist look to your makeup. Soft hues for eyeshadow, a more natural blush on your cheeks, gloss or lipstick that is close to your natural color, barely there eyeliner and mascara that is not over the top. The focus is on your skin giving you the appearance of barely there beauty.
Some products I love to accomplish this look:
Elizabeth Arden Eye-Fix Primer–neutralizes uneven tones on your lids and shadow area and holds the pigment from your shadow without creasing.
Freeze 24/7 Freeze & Go–can be applied over your makeup without distrupting it and plump your skin to banish wrinkles (if only for 24 hours!) Seriously, click the link and see my before and after photos!
Physicians Formula Mineral Mineral Wear Concealer Stick–I use this everyday in yellow. Around your nose, mouth and under your eyes–it will neutralize red and create a more even look to your skin tone.
Elizabeth Arden Intervene–I seriously can’t wait for the heat and humidity of summer to go away so that I can start wearing this foundation again. Creates such a wonderful flawless look to your skin.
Sally B’s Skin Yummies Get Even Finishing Powder–Whether you use this as your foundation or as a setting powder, it hides imperfections with one quick sweep of the brush across your skin.
Prescriptives Here to Stay 24-Hour Longwear Mascara–This is still my fallback mascara. Lashes look long without looking fake.
Sonya Kashuk Beautifying Blush in Melon–Not sure this will still be available come fall, but I loved the color on my skin.
Pix! Natural Mineral Kit–Varying brown eyshadow shades are neutral and not overdone.
MAC lipstick–I’m still wearing Barely Lit from MAC’s Smoke Signals, but it looks like Mellow Flame is still available on MAC’s website, which would also accomplish the lip look for this trend.
Are there any products you’ll be using to accomplish this trend?
