Newly launched Ferro Cosmetics found its way into my mailbox this week and I could not wait to try them out. This luxurious mineral makeup brand leaves out the talc, preservatives, petroleum by-products and bismuth to give you less things to irritate your skin and more ways to look gorgeous.
I got to try their Ultimate Foundation, Radiance Foundation, Crystal Mineral Veil, Blush x3, 3-N-1 Eye Candy and Eye Candy Shimmer.
My favorites right off the bat were the Ultimate Foundation and Crystal Mineral Veil. The Ultimate Foundation provides full coverage that is matte and is dually purposed as concealer and foundation. It’s also great for acne prone skin (which is unfortunately me) and works fabulously to tone down the shine from oily skin. I wore the Light-Medium Beige and it blended perfectly wtih my skin.
The Crystal Mineral Veil arrived in Nude, which is a tinted pale beige (so it blended perfectly with the foundation) and leaves you with a soft glow. It’s not sparkly or shiny–just luminous.
I also loved how Blush x3 really was that natural pink your cheeks get when you have happy healthy skin. It doesn’t make you look overdone and adds to a more natural skin coloring look. “x3″ also means you can use it for your lips and eyes.
The eye minerals were well pigmented and ultra-lightweight.
If you haven’t tried products from Ferro Cosmetics yet, I suggest you give them a look. And speaking of look–they have a great section devoted to categorizing some of their products into “looks”–ie. Golden Goddess, Fierce Fashionista, Pastel Princess… www.ferrocosmetics.com

My friend got me hooked when her kinisiologist referred her to Ferro Cosmetics. I have rarely found a mineral foundation that was actually a matte and not all shiney but still covered everything like their Ultimate Foundation. I also love their Crystal Veil, (I have the Rose) because if I pair it w/the Ultimate I can still have the beautiful sheen of minerals but only where I want it and still have massive coverage. Love that it’s not chalky either. The foundation jar is cool because it’s wider than the other products I have so my brushes actually fit inside.
Very pretty, and light– which is what I love. I hate anything heavy.
So many mineral foundations/sets out there now. I wonder if there’s a huge difference between any of them. I’ve always stuck with bare escentuals.
her eyes look stunning in that image, i wonder how bright they look in real life.
this looks like my next pick after im done with my everday mineral samples. the fact that it’s matte is a big seller for me. almost all mineral foundation comes with mica which i really don’t need. ferro, here i come!
