I’m sure many of you have heard about the fabulous Paula Begoun–you know, the one person who really tells you like it is in the world of cosmetics and skin care. She discerns fact from fiction about the claims of many beauty products and even has her own newsletter reviewing products (sign up!)
I was lucky that Pierce Mattie is such a huge fan of hers (seriously–he tells me all the time!) and was able to get me in touch with her to obtain an interview.

Great interview, Shannon – thanks for linking to it here! I discovered Paula’s books and products about a year ago, and I was just thrilled that someone was “telling it like it is” in the cosmetics world. When I was working behind a counter, I always had a hard time recommending one of our products to a customer when I knew another line had a better option for that particular person. It’s refreshing to see someone who’s not afraid to take on the industry and recommend ANY product that works well. Plus, I’ve been very impressed with the Paula’s Choice skincare that I’ve used – she talks the talk AND walks the walk!
I agree about Paula and I think that we beauty bloggers should take a cue from her: Tell it like it is and you will gain a loyal readership. :)
