La Mer The Powder

I’ve heard all the hype about La Mer’s Creme de la Mer and wondered if their makeup products would be any more hyped. Things seem to be very quiet surrounding these products so I decided to give La Mer’s The Powder a try.
I chose translucent, which I always think is the best choice for any face powder because then it can be used no matter what the season and shade your skin turns.
To be fair, La Mer’s website uses words like “airspun seaborne particles” and “symmetrically shaped, uniquely coated particles.” Sometimes I think brands tend to go overboard in their “talk” when there really is no need to. This product is really good, but had I read the product description first–I would’ve been lost in a sea of beauty speak.
The Powder comes in a glass jar with a cotton puff to dust it on. I prefer to use my Billy B Paintbrush “Three” to apply it. The powder is very light and gives your skin a silky feeling. You can see the powder has a slight shimmer to it when it’s on the brush, but once applied, you don’t notice any shine or shimmer at all. It really gave my skin a wonderful overall appearance.
While I think the pricetag of $65 is pretty steep, you do get a generous amount–your skin will look fabulous and who says you can’t treat yourself some luxury every now and then?
