Lulu Beauty Eyeshadow

Oh my hazel eyes. When I opened my eyeshadow from Lulu Beauty I knew the color I saw before my eyes would send my girlfriends running for the hills…but not me. Back in July I had a makeover in Manhattan at Henri Bendel’s and I realized that color is my friend. Especially when it makes my hazel eyes look more green.

What color am I talking about?

screen test

Screen Test. It’s green baby. Before my recent makeover, I wouldn’t have dared put green eyeshadow on my eyes. I would’ve laughed at the idea. However, do-not-be-afraid-of-color!

I used Screen Test on my lower lid, brown in my crease and a beige along my brow line. This color, paired with my Lulu Beauty Creme Blush and Lip Lustre, looked fab-u-lous. Even my husband noticed and that is a difficult thing to achieve! I got the, “Wow, you look really good,” compliment.

Lulu Beauty offers their eyeshadows in sheer and subtly sparkly shades. They offer Matte, Metallic, Glitter and Shimmer. The colors are fabulous and I especially love the color of Femme Fetale and Glamour Girl.

I was impressed at how big this eyeshadow was. For only $18 you get what is basically a compact, as seen in the picture above, not some small pan of color. This eyeshadow will last you a good long time.

I also found that this eyeshadow didn’t crease or fade, just as the website promises.

Have you tried any of Lulu Beauty’s makeup line? If so, let me know what you thought.

I was sure red eyeshadow would have me looking like I had a raging case of pink-eye but it really worked.

    Who knew?

  2. Shannon says:

Jenny, I agree! I’m slowly learning to not be so afraid of color.

Yes, who knew is right. lol. That is a saying I say quite often! ;)

I recently found the one color that doesn’t work on me — yellow. Not gold, not copper, but yellow. Ugh. All other things I’ve tried, so far, have worked. But, yellow… the MA who did the makeup made me look jaundiced. Ick.

If you approve of this eyeshadow, it’s probably really good. I trust you.

  5. Ashley Samantha says:

I like the packaging alot, and yes you do get alot of bang for your buck. LuLu is cute but i haven’t perused many of their items in awhile.

  6. Kristen says:

I have a lulu eyeshadow that doesn’t fade either…one of the longest lasting I’ve tried. I love having someone (a professional mind you) talk me into trying something new. It’s how I discovered navy mascara, my current obsession.

the color that i found worked on me was purple. put some purple shadow on me and my brown eyes just look so sexyyy (in my own humble opinion) :p i haven’t seen lulu makeup around, but now i think i better start looking!
