When it comes to eyeshadow, I don’t normally venture very far from my nuetral browns and pale pinks/purples. I was feeling a little adventurous today and decided to give MAC’s new collection, Cool Heat, a try. This collection contains dramatic eye-popping colors of deep blue and green eye shadow. I can’t say I was as adventurous about the Slimshine lipsticks though from this collection, as the ones I received were reds…and well, red just doesn’t look good on me, sadly.

Surprisingly, despite their super bright colors in their containers, they go on very lightly. I used Warm Chill across my brow bone, Cool Heat on my lid, and Climate Blue in my crease. Warm Chill is is a very pale ice blue, Cool Heat has a lot of shimmer too it and is a bright almost 90’s electric blue. Climate Blue could easily be mistaken as a deep purple. I wanted to give you a picture with my eyes open so that you can see that despite how pale the colors look on, the green of my eyes really pop from it.
I was pretty excited that the colors were not as scary on as I thought they would be. My only disappointment was that these shadows creased.
I also ventured to be bold and gave MAC’s Dazzle Glass a try in Comet Blue. Seriously love it. Wow is this gloss shiny! And surprisingly long lasting as well. It’s not tacky or sticky and just looks lovely.

Cool Heat will be available sometime this month and Dazzle Glass is available (but selling out) now.

These look great on you!
I’m so jealous, you found Comet Blue, I’ve been looking all over San Francisco and can’t find any left :(
Hope all is well!
Ooh great post! I love MAC stuff, and their lipglosses are amazing. I have the LipGlass in Instant Gold and it gives the most amazing shimmer to any lipstick it is layered with, plus a little product goes a long way.
