The pigment eyeshadow colors in MAC Cosmetics Rush Metal collection is actually very Fall oriented. I don’t really mind so much, as Fall is one of my favorite seasons (the other is Spring) and I love wearing those warm colors.
Here the rundown of the pigment colors:
Rushmetal: Rich copper sparkle
Revved-up: Icy rose with reflects
Gold Mode: Tan gold
Mauvement: Cool taupe with gold pearl
Off the Radar: Warm orange with gold sparkle
Copperized: Olive green with gold pearl
Quick Frost: Creamy white with soft green pearl
Cocomotion: Dirty gold with olive undertone and gold sparkle
For me, these color work fabulous with my hazel eyes. The coppers and golds really bring out the flecks of gold in my eyes and seem to really enrich the green. Copperized looks great as a crease shadow to also bring some pop to my eyes.
The pigments have a lot of sparkle to them, so that did take some getting used to for me, as I usually prefer matte eyeshadows. The pigments were pretty messy in application, as the mica seems larger in size than in most eyeshadows. I had a hard time not getting it under my eyes and cheeks. The pigment jars are good sized and literally filled to them brim–it is very generous portion-wise.
The one major thing I noticed, is that they didn’t crease. It had been very hot here on the days I was wearing the pigments to review. I didn’t use a lid primer, and this pigment still stayed in place and lasted all day.
If you own the Rush Metal pigments, what did you think?

I have Mauvement, Off the Radar, and Rushmetal.
IMO Rushmetal fit me best. Off the radar was too chunky for my taste, probably good as a liner or something. And Mauvement was just too….muddy on me.
Those pigments really do seem like a lot of product. I could never get into pigments, but I think that’s just because I don’t really know how to use it.
A tip I got from TYRA (ANTM) is to put a whole buncha face powder under your eye so it can catch all your eye makeup. Afterwards, you can just brush it off! It looked really good when she did. But then she is a supermodel…haha
I’ve eyed these from afar and have resisted becuase they look so difficult to apply…and the colors are so intense. They look great in their little jars, but maybe not on my lids.
I looked up all the pigments on their site and I have to say that I want them all.
i have pretty much all of macs pigments (seriously). they are just amazing, i a little on lips with a gloss, a tiny bit dusted on cheeks, then on eyes…. omg superb!
