I have and I love it! I always used the old photo finish and this one is definately better.

The old Photo Finish is great so i’m sure this one would be 10X better. i tend to break out so i’m a little careful about what i put on my face, but this is definitely something i want to try and have high hopes for.

I just ran out of my MAC Prep+Prime spf 50 and this was my next pick. I keep hearing about how proper Smashbox’s Primer game is so I just have to try it. I like that they offer primers to combat redness, and dark circles, etc. I could probably benefit from every single one of them.

wow i didnt know this was out there! i use macs primer too… gotta try this one & see which i like more TY!

Despite my first experience with smashbox primer, I still picked this one up on one of my sephora runs. Again, I was dissapointed. I tried with and without moisturizer and really, it barely did anything.

If I’m gonna add another step to my routine, could i at least get some spf??

  6. Julie says:

Enh. I’m not convinced on the whole primer game. Elsewhere on the blog, we’ve been talking about the necessity of primer, and as far as I’m concerned, it’s not a necessary product. It’s basically like toner. It’s nice, but totally skippable. Especially if you’re wallet-conscious.

I agree with yoyosushi, too. Couldn’t we at least get some SPF out of it?

  7. Jamie says:

Everyone has different skins types, therefore we will have different results. I have combination skin, but with what I consider an oily t-zone. Normally, before I started using primer, I would get oily after a few hours. With this primer I stay shine-free practically the whole day. I don’t even touch up anymore. This is my HG primer. For ME, it makes a huge difference.
