Max Factor’s Volume Couture isn’t out in stores until January 2007, but I was able to get my hands on it and give it a test drive.
This mascara was chosen to be the exclusive mascara used at Milan’s Fashion Week, so it definitely had some expectations to live up to.
This mascara uses the patent-pending iFX brush technology that the other Lash Perfection mascara’s use. Unlike the typical mascara brush, the iFX brush is like a modeled plastic comb with more space, called micro-channels, to give you more coverage without the clumps. I really have to say that I do prefer the new plastic molded wands over traditional mascara brushes these days.
Volume Couture delivered with fabulous lashes that were separated, unclumped, and really made my eyes stand out. I even found that I could move the brush vertically to get just about every single lash. The formula doesn’t feel thick or heavy on your lashes, in fact, when I touch my lashes (dried of course), it feels like I am not wearing mascara at all. I also find that it comes off easily with makeup remover.
So girls, this is definitely one mascara you should be lining up for come January.

Shannon, thanks for adding my link (I’m going to link you as well) and happy holidays! I hope you get everything that you ask for. I’ll have a drink for you at the Pour House!
Is the Max Factor mascara smudge-proof? I am still looking for my HG smudge-proof mascara!
For a mascara that boost high volume i don’t think it lives up to its claim. It does thicken them a little bit, but not as much as you would expect it to. It’s ok, but not what i expected.
eh, all these new fangled mascara wand brushes are kind of irritating me. I’ve tried a few and can’t see a big difference from the original spoolies.
This is one of the mascaras I tried when I was going through my “Finding my mascara self” phase! I remember not being impressed by it – I moved on way too quickly to the Hip Mascara which really delivers some great volume, but is way too clumpy a mess to put up with on a daily basis.
