My first Sephora purchase

I know–as unbelievable as it may seem, today was the first time I placed an order with Sephora. Thanks to my lovely girlfriend Elke who sent me an egiftcertificate back in December.
Here’s what I ordered:
Benefit Realness of Concealness
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
Imju Fiberwig Mascara
The samples I chose:
LOLA Refine Shine Anti-Shine Gel
Cosmedicine Medi-morphosis Self Adjusting Exfoliator
Prevage Eye Anti-Aging Moisturizing Treatment
I do wish they would’ve offered a better variety of samples. The majority were skin care samples and I was looking for more makeup related samples. However, I can’t complain–free is free after all. Of course, you will see reviews of these products here and on A Girl’s Gotta Spa! in the coming weeks.

Well, you know I love the Smashbox primer – surely you have tried that by now? It is amazing. I do hope you got the tube rather than the jar… ;)
Sometimes they offer a better selection. Samples at Sephora has stunk recently though.
Um, no Christina, that’s why I ordered it. lol. I did buy the tube because both Elke and Kristen said it was much better than the jar.
I got the confirmation that it shipped today, so I can’t wait for it to arrive.

how did you manage to avoid Sephora for all this time?!
I’ll be honest–because I get sent makeup all of the time from different companies and my husband tells me I am crazy to actually go purchase something when my bathroom could be a store in and of itself. lol. But how can I resist most of the brands they sell??? ;)
Ps. Also, because I am a “want it now” kind of person. I hate having to wait for a product I wanted yesterday. Now that I know Sephora is so super fast, they will probably be my store of choice. :)
When I discovered Sephora back in college, I was wandering around manhattan. I walked back the store, did a double take, stopped dead in my tracks (my friend thought I was nuts) and walked, trancelike, into the store. It was like the angels were singing haaaallelujah!! and I felt like i was in Julie Heaven. I love that place!!!
Fun random fact: Did you know that Moses’s wife was named Sephora? I guess he took care of the animals and she took care of the makeup! lol, oh i’m so silly. =P
I never knew about Sephora until my senior year in high school. I’m glad I waited that long, because my wallet has been crying ever since!
I used to be obsessed with smashbox primer. I tried the fiberwig stuff in the store and it was just kind of thick and guncky on my lashes…not a huge fan. Love sephora though!
