Posting delays

Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know I’ve been absent for a few days due to a family situation. :( Many of you may remember when my grandfather had brain surgery gone wrong back in September that has put him on life support ever since. He was still with his mind entact, but he could no longer walk, talk, etc. Well Sunday I got the call that his heart rate went down into the 30’s (normal is 60-90). The dr.’s indicated it was the beginning of the end. He was unresponsive for a day, but came out of his coma late Sunday night and indicated he knew it was his time to go and requested that all life support (except for oxygen) stop.
I’ve been in Philadelphia since then sitting by his side, holding his hand and making sure he knew how much I loved him. I just got home tonight since my kids do have to get back to school and myself to work. It’ll be tough when he finally goes, but I know it is for the best. Besides sobbing like a baby because I will miss him so much (we are super close), I cried even more when he indicated that he would take care of the baby I lost almost 2 years ago when he gets to heaven. :(
I should be back blogging Wed. or Thursday, but just wanted to let you know what’s happening.

I lost my Father 1 year ago and sat with him holding his hand until he was gone. My thoughts and prayers are with you and you’re family.

I am so sorry about your grandfather.
My dad just died this past September from complications from a brain tumor. I was the one who had to give permission to take him off of life support.
