Makeup Minute

Santa arrives early–with makeup!

imagesToday surely has been a treat! I was expecting a catalog from Benefit, but was handed a box by the Fed Ex guy. In all my naivity I honest to goodness wondered why a catalog would come in a box. So, completely stumped, I opened the box to find another gift box and a Christmas card. Oh yeah…and the catalog too.

The card basically told me that Benefit saw my Christmas wishlist and wanted to give me some gifts! I received Dr. Feelgood (yeah!), High Beam and Lyin Eyes. If you were in my house for only a moment, you would have been dancing around my kitchen with me. You can bet that I raced upstairs to try out these products right away, which you will find reviews for next week. Thank you Benefit!

Next, taking a mini-break from posting to the Pierce Mattie Beauty PR blog, I went to check my email tonight to find an e-gift certificate awaiting me to Sephora. It was from my most wonderful friend Elke who sent it to me because we ran out of time when I was visiting NYC this past summer and we couldn’t make a trip to Sephora (but I did get to engulf a Haagen Dazs in Penn Station). If you can believe it, I have never been in a Sephora, and I honestly have never shopped online either…window shopped yes, but never made a purchase. All of my $$ goes into my kids and rarely do I treat myself. So I am SUPER excited to be able to do more than window shopping at Sephora’s online store. Thank you Elke! xo!

It’s not even Christmas yet and already it’s merry.

it is probably best that you have waited this long to go to a sephora…it is quite an expensive addiction! i loved dr. feelgood, but beware of it getting dirty fast! it gets all those little hairs and yea…i clean it just as much as i use it.

How nice of them to gift you like that!

And, I think I’ve already mentioned my love affair with Sephora. My little Julie Heaven. :)

Free gifts!? I’m so jealous! I have to be content with googling “product codes” before any online purchases and making out with free samples or shipping.

  5. Ashley Samantha says:

I google “product codes” too! LOL

And good you got a gift certificate! I know how harried mommies are – they never get a moment to themselves so I’m sure it was a well deserved gift!
