I didn’t really have much luck with their Buxom Lip Plumper, but I’m not one to discount a brand or product based on the review of one item alone. So Buxom Lash will be on my after-Christmas shopping list to take it for a test drive. However, if you’ve picked this up for yourself, I’d love to hear what you thought. Did it really give your lashes 300% of POW?

There was definitely high shine with this plumping gloss. I immediately began to feel that “burning” sensation everyone has been telling me about. The gloss was thin and I made sure to apply the same amount of gloss to both lips.

After about 10 minutes and the burning sensation making me feel like I had puffer lips, I ran excitedly to the bathroom to get a look in the mirror. Alas, they looked exactly the same as when I applied the plumping gloss. I was definitely feeling the sensation like my lips were huge, yet they weren’t.

I waited another 10 minutes and then asked my husband if he noticed a difference. He said that he only noticed that the outer parts of my lips appeared darker and that my lips were only slightly—subtly plumper. I agree, for the amount of burning I felt, my lips were only slightly plump and not really all too noticeable unless you were really staring at my mouth. I was disappointed that the intensity of the burning didn’t equate to a larger lip size.

Sephora is having a gift set sale on Bare Escentuals (seen above). It’s a 9 piece set that retails for $131 and is on sale for $55 (sounds like a steal to me).

I personally have never used Bare Escentuals, but they seem to be everywhere. QVC, infomercials (sometimes I can’t sleep), my mother’s makeup case…I can’t seem to get away from them.

So if you have used Bare Escentuals, speak up. Tell me your opinion on them.
