The silky sheer pale pink give fair and medium skin tones a hint of color with a slight shimmer (very subtle). I found Thrrob to be a great day blush, especially when I am not in the mood to get all done up to go run errands, yet still want to have the basics on my face.

It actually looks to be a brighter pink in the picture above than it actually is in person. The pink is very pale like cotton candy in hue. I thought it was pretty and long lasting.

Gilded

Benefit says, “It’s like 24 carat gold in a stick!”

I have to say, I love this little golden pencil. It’s nice and soft, so it glides across your skin as you apply it. I’ve used it across my brown bone, under my lower lids and on my lips under my 24 sexy gold lip gloss.

Gilded gives a nice shimmer without taking over–it merely compliments any other colors and products you are already using.

It was the beginning of this year that Benefit launched this product and I was skeptical about it. So now that I finally have it, let me share my thoughts.

BADgal Blue isn’t the bright blue of mascara’s past, it’s more deep and darker in hue. You can see the blue if you are up close, but from a normal distance it only appears black, so no worries that you will look strange with blue eyelashes. I have hazel eyes and it definitely makes my eye color stand out more, I definitely loved that effect.

I do think that the mascara brush head is way too big. We’re talking a half to almost a full head bigger than your typical mascara brush. Not just length-wise, but in circumference as well. It does take several coats of mascara to give the appearance of what many mascara’s do in 1-2 coats. Once it’s on it looks great for your eye color, but it doesn’t lengthen or add volume.

I’m thinking I may use my Kanebo 38 degrees C Mascara and apply BADgal Blue over it. I’m addicted to making my eye color stand out, but want my lashes to kick butt too.

California Kissin is Benefit’s “fake it” gloss for whiter looking teeth. It’s a clear gloss with lots of blue shimmer. Its minty scent and taste will keep you feeling like you just brushed your teeth (or you just have some Colgate Total action going on).

The mint isn’t a bad thing, just not expected in a gloss. When I think of mint on my lips it’s usually with lip balm. Even though there is so much blue shimmer in the tube that it looks like you will be applying blue gloss to your lips–no worries, it is a clear gloss. The blue shimmer spreads out evenly and will in no way make you feel like you are reliving the 80’s. I actually liked the way the color looked on my lips…but did my teeth look whiter? Maybe a shade, but nothing substantial.

The gloss itself is sheer with tons of specs of gold. Worn alone, your lips sparkle, worn over your favorite lipstick, it adds another dimension of color. I tried it over several lipsticks, even my MAC Rush Metal Lipsticks that are gold tinged and the look was glamorous.

The gloss wasn’t tacky, sticky or thick-feeling. Despite all of the gold flecs, I couldn’t feel them. Just a great gold colored gloss and a perfect way to keep your face up to date with the fall fashion and beauty trends.

Benefit Cosmetics Silky Finish Lipstick Lipstick is one of the great products that Carmindy recommends in her 5 minute face. Since Carmindy knows a thing or two about makeup, I knew it was a product I had to try.

I have Hug It Out which, according to the Benefit website is a pink nectar color with a pearl finish. Honestly, when I first saw the color I was nervous that it would be too dark because it doesn’t look pink at all–it looks more brown, however it doesn’t apply as dark as it seems in the tube. It’s actually a very light raisin color like their “Hold It” with a very pretty sheen. The color is buildable, so you can smooth it over once for a light application, or apply it several times for a richer color.

This lipstick goes on so smooth you almost want to believe you are wearing gloss. Your lips will feel so silky and don’t feather. I really like it and can see why it’s on Carmindy’s list.
