Boots No7 Longer Lashes

What they say:

Dramatically lengthen and curl your lashes for an irresistably gorgeous look. The special formula, enriched with pro-vitamin B5 will make lashes look up to 30% longer and is smudge-proof.

What I thought:

I can’t say I noticed any dramatic lengthening, but my lashes did appear to be slightly longer. I also noticed that my lashes curled, especially those lashes on the outter most part of my eye. This mascara was smudge-proof as well. I want to say that this was a no frills mascara and I don’t mean that in a bad way. So many mascara’s want to promise you the world (can it do my laundry and cook dinner?) and very few can deliver on their promises. I liked the simpleness of this mascara.

Boots No7 Lash & Brow Perfector

What they say:

This versatile conditioning gel has a specially designed brush so it can be used to tame and set unruly brows for a polished look or used on lashes for natural definition. The brush has longer bristles on one side for lashes and shorter bristles on the other side for brows. Great for use on ‘no make-up’ days so lashes and brows look defined.

What I thought:

Who knew what a difference this gel could make when applied to your brows? I not only used the Lash & Brow Perfector to mold my brows into shape as part of my makeup routine, but I also found it made trimming them incredibly easy by holding the hairs firm and steady.

The wand is so unique with one side having short bristles and the other longer bristles. I agree that using this clear gel on your lashes makes them more defined and is definitely perfect for your no makeup days.

Boots Botanics Lip Gloss contains ginkgo biloba to protect and coconut extract to help moisturize your lips. This gloss smells interestingly of tangerines, which always makes me think of that car insurance commercial when the actor says “So I put on some tangerine lip gloss and answered the door…” I’m not really a fan of tangerines, yet this gloss feels great and looks so good that I can let that slide. I forgive you Boots.

This gloss is not thin nor thick, yet the coverage is really fabulous. When I use it I can’t help but think that this gloss brings truth to the notion of “painting your face.” It almost gives that wet paint yet satin finish look to your lips.

Boots No7 Colour Calming is a makeup base and red skin tone neutralizer. It is a sea green color, however I found that this product really varies from Physician’s Formula Conceal Rx. Whereas Conceal Rx made me look green and zombie-like if I didn’t apply the right amount, the Colour Calming didn’t give me that pale look at all. This green concealer seemed to spread translucent, yet still completely neutralized the redness that plagues me near my nose, mouth and cheeks. My skin looked so fabulous that I really haven’t stopped talking about this product to my family. I am absolutely impressed with how well it worked without making me “work” to balance exactly how much I need to conceal the redness yet not look too green.
