So along with many other fabulous products she sent, I received TWO of tarte’s cheek stains. I was excited that I would be trying one, but two? Oh tarte you spoil me. Also, why didn’t anyone warn me that this is a really big product? Wow, impressive indeed.

tarte sent me flush (seen in the picture) and tipsy. Flush is said to be that “just in from the cold/cozying up by the fire” type color and tipsy, well described to be the color you get when you’ve have one too many.

I first looked at flush and thought, “Yikes, red and purple sort of!” I was afraid of this plumb red color. As we get deeper into the winter, my skin just seems to get paler and paler. I thought it would be too dark/bright, but I was wrong. It was actually pretty nice and a color that goes great with the darker colors I wear on my eyes at times. I can also see this being the perfect blush for a night out.

tipsy is almost more of a color that highlights the natural blush color of your cheeks. I wore this one today with my plumb and light lavenderish pink eyeshadows. It looked perfect.

I took everyone’s advice and used a wedge sponge to apply it, although I think it may be just as easy to rub the bottle on my cheeks directly because of the roundess of the stain–almost like a roll on deodorant. They each had a scent to them too that I found pretty.

I’m definitely glad I listened to YOU and gave them a try!
