California Kissin is Benefit’s “fake it” gloss for whiter looking teeth. It’s a clear gloss with lots of blue shimmer. Its minty scent and taste will keep you feeling like you just brushed your teeth (or you just have some Colgate Total action going on).

The mint isn’t a bad thing, just not expected in a gloss. When I think of mint on my lips it’s usually with lip balm. Even though there is so much blue shimmer in the tube that it looks like you will be applying blue gloss to your lips–no worries, it is a clear gloss. The blue shimmer spreads out evenly and will in no way make you feel like you are reliving the 80’s. I actually liked the way the color looked on my lips…but did my teeth look whiter? Maybe a shade, but nothing substantial.

My Mineral Sheer Radiance is in Dream, which is a pale pink in color. This is a product you apply as a finishing touch over your foundation or you can wear it alone when you have one of those “just rolled out of bed” moments and need to run out and do errands.

This product definitely gave my face that “lift” it needed; giving me a flush of color. It also has an SPF of 8 so that I have some protection in the sun, as well.

Lemon-Aid is a yellow correcting cream that makes redness and discoloration on your eyelids disappear. You apply a small dab to your eyelid and a dab along your browbone and then blend.

My lids are always a little red, but more so now that I am getting less sleep these upcoming weeks to my son’s birth (I love how they prepare you for the sleep you will not be getting once they arrive.) Upon applying Lemon-Aid, it completely muted out the red and gave an even appearance to both eyes. It didn’t necessarily look yellow, but obviously was pale in comparison to the red. Once I applied my eyeshadow, the yellow disappeared and just gave the appearance of an even complexion. I also found that the cream made a good base to hold my eyeshadow.

The only downside to using just Lemon-Aid on your eyelids, is if you also have ruddiness on other parts of your face like I do. Even though I applied my Conceal Rx in those spots, it did look a little strange to have green and yellow on my face. I think on days that I use Lemon-Aid, I will have to purchase Benefit’s Bluff Dust, also a yellow corrector, to make for a smooth even skin tone.

Lyin Eyes, by Benefit Cosmetics, is a concealer that comes in only one color and goes on wet, but within seconds becomes powder dry.

Like my e.l.f. Hypershine Gloss (and Stila’s The Gift of Glaze), this concealer is a pen where you twist the top to bring the concealer into the paintbrush-like tip. Also like e.l.f.’s Hypershine Gloss, you have to twist the top about 60 times for your first use. On each follow-up use, it is about 2-3 times. The pen is mess free, which makes it a great product for you to carry in your handbag for mid-day touch-up’s.

When I applied Lyin Eyes, I had only gotten intermitten sleep the night before (darn kids) and had baggy, dark circled skin under my eyes with some slight redness on my lids. I first applied it to one eye to see if I could notice a difference. There was absolutely no foolin, the difference was dramatic. I simply swiped the pen under my eye 2-3 times and the entire area where I apply my eyeshadow. I then used my fingertip to gently blend everything with my skin, which you have to act quickly as it dries to a powder relatively fast. My eyes looked perkier…almost like I had 8 hours of sleep.

I haven’t gone a day without using this concealer on my eyes, it’s one of those products that are quite remarkable.

The other night when I was browsing the channels, I made a pitstop on QVC. They were doing their Gifts of Beauty show and were showcasing the Yves Saint Laurent Radiant Touch Highlighter.

The kept talking about how marvelous it was, but honestly when they showed the model before and after, she looked exactly the same. I’ve seen rave reviews all around the web, so I wondered if my eyes were just tired when I watched the show.

Since I know in the next few months, I will be getting some serious lack of sleep and will be looked drained and lifeless, I am wondering if this product really works. If you’ve used it, please tell me what you thought–good or bad!

By now I am sure you are rolling your eyes and begging, “Not another jane iredale review!” Ladies, ladies…I’m telling you, her products are so worth the review. So please bare with me, because beyond this one, there is still more to come.

Ahh the joys of pregnancy. That does not include pregnancy acne. Nope. Not at all. So when I first read about Disappear in some literature I was sent with previous products, I snuffed it off thinking it was to cover scars or tattoos. I thought maybe it was more for makeup artists than for my retro-teen skin not-on-purpose look.

Thankfully, I was wrong. I hadn’t even asked for this product, yet I mysteriously had it sent in the mail to me. Almost like someone knew I’ve been cursing at my reflection these days. So I very curiously and with great skepticism, tried it out.

As you may know, when you are pregnant you can’t use anything chemically related to treat this new found acne that has taken up residence on your face. So we pregnant moms have to suffer in silence. (Waiting for your empathetic awwww’s.) However, I will suffer no more. No more I tell you! Disappear if chock full of natural ingredients that help treat acne while covering it up.

I was skeptical that it would look cakey and wondered how it could possibly conceal the redness…but it did. I just followed the directions of creating thin layers and feathering the edges. It blended with my skintone (I used Light) and once I applied my jane foundation and powder, you couldn’t even tell there was any acne at all. Fabulous!

OK, I was searching through Beauty.com’s site tonight on different makeup Fix-it’s and Fake-it’s, when I came across this lipgloss by Kevyn Aucoin. It’s called Liquid Cyber Lipgloss.

Beauty.com says it is a Fix-It for discolored teeth, claiming that the liquid blue sheen brings out your teeth’s whiteness.

My questions are:

1. Who wears blue lipgloss?
2. No kidding that blue lipgloss will draw attention away from your teeth and straight to your lips.
3. They offer other colors, so does that mean Tenda (Pink) and Datura (Gold) are not Fix-it’s?

I admit I was looking at it because my teeth are forever stained by my endless and addictive coffee, tea and diet coke habit. Being pregnant, I don’t think I can try out Crest Whitestrips and what not.

So has anyone tried this? I promise I won’t make fun of you for wearing blue lipgloss if you tell.
