While the shows in Bryant Park have ended for the season, the circus of fashion continues in Milan this week. Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2010 Ready to Wear was dubbed “Heritage”, and showcased the designers’ Sicilian roots and signature sartorial tailoring laced with a dose of tango.
On the runway, each model donned a bold red lip created using Dolce&Gabbana The Make Up.

“This season our inspiration stemmed from the passionate Latin woman melded with our Sicilian upbringing,” said Domenico Dolce. Stefano Gabbana added, “The cultures are very similar and we wanted the beauty look to be reflective of this passion and …read more

Get the Look: Amy Adams

The lovely Amy Adams attended the premiere of her new flick, Julie & Julia, last night and Cover Girl makeup artist Molly Stern created her red carpet look. She says:
“It always seems that inspiration ends up coming from the dress. Last night Amy wore a gorgeous full length Carolina Herrera gown with a charcoal and white pattern speckled with gold beading. So I borrowed from that exquisite color palette. We went for a steel and copper smoky lid, gorgeous full lashes, a peachy cheek and a golden amber lip.”

Get the Look: Sienna Miller

For the Tokyo premiere of G.I. Joe (this movie is a mystery to me, where’s all the promotion?!), gorgeous Brit Sienna Miller wore a Gucci suit.
Her hair was pulled into a chic, modern chignon ponytail and makeup artist Kate Lee for Chanel took inspiration from model/rock star wife Jerry Hall and the images of legendary photographer Helmut Newton to create the face. Kate says:
I began by gently smoking out the eye with a mid grey matte shadow. Inside the eye I used Chanel Intense Eye Pencil in Graphite to add intensity, and the silvery grey reflects the light. I wanted to balance the look without conflicting …read more

Celebrity makeup artist Julie Harris created Anne Hathaway’s simple but chic look at last night’s 63rd Annual Tony Awards in New York City. As Anne is the spokeswoman for Magnifique, she naturally used some key Lancôme products.
First, Julie applied Lancôme Modèle Sourcils in Naturel to shape and define her brows. She then applied Lancôme Artliner in Noir to her upper lash line. To make Anne’s eyes really pop, Julie coated her lashes with Lancôme Hypnôse mascara to give her lashes extra volume and finish the look. Meanwhile, Anne’s beautiful lips and cheeks were downplayed with just a subtle hint of …read more

Get the Look: Angelina Jolie at Cannes

Celebrity makeup artist Mary Burton created the glamorous look for Angelina Jolie at the Cannes Film Festival and we’ve got the inside scoop on what she used.
To define Angelina’s lashes Mary used two different mascaras, Lancôme Hypnôse in Black and Ôscillation in Black and applied a few coats of both to add volume and length. She also used Lancôme Color Design Lipstick in Candy Apple to create her voluptuous red pout.

I think Angelina looked quite lovely in Versace as she walked the red carpet for the premiere of Brad Pitt’s new movie Inglourious Basterds directed by Quentin Tarantino. What do you think …read more
