Truth be told, since I live in NYC, Walmart is a positively exotic shopping experience to me.  I’ve only been a handful of times in the past few years but whenever I’m in the vicinity of a store, I feel compelled to shop.

I have no excuse for not shopping Walmart anymore though – the site just launched Health & Beauty products online for home delivery. That means that thousands of  items from your favorite mass brands like Neutrogena, L’Oreal, Pantene and Gillette can now be shipped directly to home. Convenient, right? There are black mascaras and there are BLACK MASCARAS. MAC’s new Zoom Fast Black Lash falls firmly into the latter category.
This carbon-black formula deposits an intense amount of pigment on lashes, adding length and even a bit of volume.  While I’ve got long lashes to begin with, I’ve received more than a few “What mascara are you wearing?” questions while wearing Zoom Fast Black Lash. For the record, that’s DEFINITELY a good thing.

I’ve been wearing L’Oreal’s Bare Naturale Luminous Mascara a lot lately. Prior to swiping across my lashes, I really didn’t read up on it and automatically thought “Bare Naturale” was more atune to meaning a more natural looking lash. However, a good portion of the mascara is mineral-enriched and made from natural-origin ingredients with a natural-based brush.
This mascara did a great job lengthening and adding volume to my lashes, and although there weren’t necessarily any clumps, my lashes did bunch together–but were easily separated with the brush.
