Boots No7 Quick Thinking 4 in 1 Wipes

The first thing you notice about Quick Thinking is that the wipes are about the size of a face cloth and very thick and durable. So they won’t fall apart as you smooth them over your face. It doesn’t take much for your makeup to come off and they are very gentle on your eyes (not like that e.l.f. debacle I had with their wipes). Boots’ website says this product can also easily remove waterproof makeup. I don’t wear waterproof makeup (although I am thinking of purchasing some products from Make Up For Ever), so I can’t tell you if this is true.

Once your makeup is removed, your skin really does feel clean and refreshed. Boots No7 Quick Thinking contains vitamin pro-B5 plus extracts of witch hazel and fennel which help cleanse pores and moisturize all in one easy step.

I really liked this product and think its great when you are short on time or take along with you when you are traveling.

Borghese’s Gel Delicato

Gel Delicato contains Lavender, Comfrey and Acqua di Vita® “Living Water” Complex to condition skin and restore moisture.

This really is a gentle and lightweight makeup remover and once you use it over your entire face, you just follow up with your normal facial cleanser (I also hear that their Fango Mud is awesome).

So I was sent Korres Jasmine Eye Makeup Remover and told it was oil-free. I didn’t have high hopes for it if I am being honest, but willing to to give it a shot.

How Korres describes this product:

A herbal lotion that removes makeup and waterproof mascara without irritating the delicate eye area. Wheat proteins and Provitamin B5 moisturize the skin and consitutes an excellent eyelash strengthener. Jasmine, Cucumber and Calendula offer combined soothing and refreshing action.

First impression when I received this product? “Holy smokes this is a huge bottle!” It is bigger than any other makeup remover I have seen lately. The Jasmine Eye Makeup Remover is 6.76 fl.oz. I can tell that it will last a good long time. It also has a plastic covering with a small hole to prevent spilling and over doing it when putting it on your cotton pad. That’s a huge plus for a clumsy person like myself.

There really isn’t a scent to this makeup remover, maybe just slighty in the bottle, but when applying it I didn’t notice it. You don’t need very much to remove your makeup and it came right off without any effort.

The best part? The most exciting thing of all? There was no oily residue AT ALL. I couldn’t believe it. I decided to not only use it on my eyes, but to remove the makeup on my face, as well. Again, my face dried quickly and there was no slickness or any type of residue left behind. I was sold.

I’m so excited to finally use a makeup remover that not only says it is oil-free, but makes my skin feel that way as well.

I had been waiting for a certain someone (et-hem Kristen) to send along some Lancome Bi-Facil for my quest to find a good makeup remover. I know Kristen is a busy girl, so I decided to take the plunge with something that was within my budget and purchase Neutrogena’s oil-free eye makeup remover.

It basically looks very similar to the Mary Kay makeup remover I had been using previously, except that it doesn’t have the holed cap to prevent over doing it when putting some on a cotton pad.

It removed my eye makeup without issue. With my previous makeup remover, I could also use it on my face, which I tried to do with this and just ended up feeling like an oil slick. I know it says oil-free but the aloe vera just felt very slick on my skin.

The scent is nice and clean and the price is very affordable. It worked as it was supposed to, I was just hoping to be able to use it for my entire face. I’ll continue to use it in the interim until I can find a total face makeup remover.

There are so many products by e.l.f. that I love. Their Hypershine Gloss, Moisture Care Lip Color, Super Glossy Lip Shine and Nail Polish Remover Pads to name a few. However, the Eye Makeup Remover is sadly not on that list of love.

The Eye Makeup Remover Pads come just as the Nail Polish Remover pads do, in a small disk of 18 round soaked pads. There is no heavy scent. When I first swiped the pads over my eyes, all seemed well, but it was when I had to push a little harder to remove my mascara that things became a problem.

What was in the pads seemed to lather up and drip off of the pad into my eyes. It felt just like soap and while it didn’t necessarily sting my eyes, it made them feel very uncomfortable.

Although it was only $1, I was still disappointed by the quality of this product since e.l.f. has had a good track record with me. I would just think that because this item is to be used on your eyes, all care would go into making sure it didn’t sting or burn your eyes.

Sadly, I cannot recommend this product. The hunt goes on for a good makeup remover (within my budget).

For a few months I had been thinking about “Not on my Pillow” by Benefit, but looking through their site tonight, I was so disappointed to see that they no longer sell it. So now I am on the hunt for a good makeup remover.

These are just a few I am thinking about:

Shiseido’s Elixir Perfect Makeup Cleansing Oil.

Although it is an oil, the description says that it doesn’t leave a sticky or oily residue.

Lancome BI-FACIL Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover

This product is supposed to be gentle, yet strong enough to remove waterproof makeup without much work.

AHAVA Advanced Eye Makeup Remover

This is an all-natural eye makeup and it is the cheaper of the bunch.
