When my friend Kristen did a review on Max Factor products, she mentioned hanging out in the drugstore to buy their products. This brought back many memories for me, as I used to spend countless hours in Adams Drugstore in West Warwick, RI just staring at Max Factor makeup and wishing I could afford it. Back then, I only made $2.50 an hour babysitting, so babysitting money was getting me no where in the land of makeup.
I often had to settle for cheap non-name brand stuff, which is likely the reason I have so many horrible horrible pictures of me in 80’s makeup.

So I pinch myself that 18 years later I get to try out Max Factor products and review them for you. Oh, if only that 14 year old Shannon knew she would one day be wearing Max Factor, I am sure she would know it was worth the wait.

The two eyeshadows I received from Max Factor to try was their Toast to That trio and Baja Bronze. As soon as I saw them, I knew they were going to look fabulous with my hazel eyes.

Toast to That is the picture shown above; a light creamy pink color, a darker mix of plum and brown, and a soft lavender color. It’s very pretty. Baja Bronze is a cream color, a nice brownish forest green and bronze. It’s hard to say which is my favorite because they both look smashing.

These eyshadows can be applied dry or wet. I also just love using trio’s like this because, let’s face it, there are times when you just don’t have the time to fuss with which color would look good with which. At least I don’t when I have 3 rambunctious children drawing on walls the minute I turn my back.

There are some really fantastic shades in this collection and it’s worth checking out. www.maxfactor.com
