Review: MAC Cosmetics Royal Assets

When I first mentioned this Holiday Collection from MAC, I just knew I was going to love it. The packaging is so vintage-chic, that I covet it like a prized posession.
Of the Royal Assets eye shadow palettes, 6 Warm Eyes is my favorite and the picture of this palette doesn’t do the colors justice. The color palette includes: Sunday Best, an ivory with frost (frost); Star Violet, a eath-touched pinky-brown plum fusion (veluxe pearl); Retrospeck, a beached blonde (lustre); Club, a muted reddish brown duochrome with freen opalescent shimmer (satin); Showstopper, a neutral dark brown and Nobility, a light pink …read more

Jelly Pong Pong Chic Shine

I’m loving Chic Shine by Jelly Pong Pong. It is a gele and matte cheek/lip pair meant to give you a playful yet sophisticated look. I received all three colors in the collection: Brazillian (earth tones), Ballerina (pink) and I’m in Love (mauve).
The matte color looks great on your cheeks, while adding the gele gives it a bit of depth. The gele on your lips has a pretty shine and is sheer with a hint of sparkling color. While there is a hint of mango to the product in its case, once its on your face you can’t smell it.

Elizabeth Arden Color Intrique Eyeshadow Quad & Smoky Eyes Powder Pencil

I know the Elizabeth Arden Color Intrigue Eyeshadow Quads have been around for a while now, but the compacts are so beautiful–how can you justify just putting it away in your makeup bag?
I have Sueded Browns and Velvet Plumtones, both gorgeous, rich colors. If you have hazel eyes, both of these palettes look amazing. The pigments are great and the colors are long lasting.
I used the eyeshadows in conjunction with Elizabeth Arden’s Smoky Eye Powder Pencils (Espresso and Smokey Black). Totally loved how easily and effortlessly the line blended using the foam tip to create that gorgeous sexy smoky eye.

Too Faced The Jewelry Box

How cool is this? Just looking around the web today for stocking stuffers…for my stocking of course.
I came across Too Faced “The Jewelry Box,” although there is no diamonds to be found here, it is quite a find. This set contains 8 eyeshadows, six lipglosses, a blush, duo bronzer, foundation powder, brow powder, eyeliner cake, a face illuminator and two double ended brushes. Did you get all of that? You could go away for the holidays and all you would need is this set, instead of a whole makeup bag of products.
Santa, I want this.
