Remember how utterly gorgeous Heidi Klum looked at last year’s Academy Awards? That killer red dress, the perfectly coiffed hairdo, the amazingly perfect makeup. She was stunning.

Well, it’s no surprise Ms. Klum is ready to wow us again and this year her Oscar makeup look can be yours courtesy of Heidi’s awards season makeup kit. Inside the kit, you’ll find everything you need to duplicate Heidi’s subtly smokey look, as defined by Victoria’s Secret makeup artist Linda Hay.

Inspired by Coco Chanel’s fascination with haute bohemian style, eyes take on deep tones for day and night, while lips are saturated with fiery reds and lush nudes, evoking an earthy sensuality elevated to a new level of sophistication.
While delving through the house archives, Peter Philips, Global Creative Makeup Director for CHANEL, rediscovered gypsy dresses by Gabrielle Chanel. “The Gypsy is a heroine with very distinctive beauty codes,” explains Peter Philips. “After looking through the sketches by Mademoiselle Chanel, I also wanted to play with all of these contrasts. The gypsy’s eyes are as dark as her lips are fiery. She has the passion of travel in her veins, that of celebration, dance, and especially that of darkness and mystery.”
EXCLUSIVE CREATION Satin Lip Color: It’s CHANEL lip color as you’ve never seen it. Five lush satin lip creme shades, from pale pink to deep plum, form the legendary double C signature in a black lacquered case.

Spring Makeup Trends 2009 Behnaz Sarafpour

Behnaz Sarafpour was my favorite show to be backstage for, not only because of the wonderful spring-like look to the makeup that is completely wearable off the runway, but because MAC Cosmetics Makeup Artist Charlotte Tilbury (pictured) was lovely and Linea Pro hair stylist, Ashley Javier was ~~hot~~ very nice.

Charlotte’s look for Behnaz’s show was romantic, paintly and garden nymph-inspired. She used no foundation on the face, only lip conditioner on the lips (for a sweet, healthy look), and broken silver (Cyber Metal X) and brown on the eyes.

The makeup complimented Ashley’s ethereal look for hair. The overall look reminded me of fairytales and fairy-like beings playfully flying among the flowers in the forest. The look was beautiful and one that I thought was completely viable as a true look for spring.
