The Body Shop’s Flawless Skin Protecting Concealer comes in 4 shades (I am 01). It is a cream to powder concealer with African baobab oil, which is said to moisturize your skin. This concealer is not at all greasy and spreads very smoothly. It is easy to work with and doesn’t convert to powder too quickly, allowing you time to smooth it out over the desired areas. I applied it alongside my nose and over a few blemishes and loved how it completely eliminated the redness. For $15.50, it’s a steal!

The Flawless Skin Protecting Foundation comes in 6 shades, which I feel focuses on much warmer skin tones than those of us in the light to medium family. I went with the only true light color of the group, 01. The consistency of this cream to powder foundation is just like that of the concealer–creamy, non-greasy, completely workable. As far as coverage goes, it did a very good job giving me a very natural looking finish. Besides the mediocre shade offering, the only other downside was that there isn’t much product in the pan. If used everyday, it may only last a month at most.

When I received the brush, I was excited to see that just a push of a button would disperse just the right amount of powder for me to lightly swipe across my face. Except when I pressed the button, nothing came out into the brush hairs. I pressed again and again and again…you get the idea. Nothing happened. I twisted and shook it and I still couldn’t get the powder to come out. So I called one of my beauty blogging friends that I knew was also testing this product out and she told me she had the same issue. We both laughed knowing that we weren’t complete idiots–I mean really, it’s brush and powder, how hard can it be to figure out?

Needless to say, I gave up. I shouldn’t have to work that hard just to dust myself with powder.

Have you tried this product? Did you have the same issue or was your experience completely different?
