While in New York I was given tarte Cosmetics FRXtion. Honestly? Up to this point I never really gave it a second look. Even more honesty–I still wouldn’t have even looked at it in my bag had Teri not raved about it to me in our hotel room. “FRXtion? Meh, I guess I’ll try it.”
I slid the top off of it, to see it reveal a small mirror. I twisted the tube up to find one side smelling sweetly of sugar and the other of Vitamin E. One side is to be used for exfoliating your lips and the other to soothe them.
Mmm. The sugar gently scrubs your lips (and tastes quite delicious!) I mentioned to Teri that I might just use this product as an appetite supressant! So when I get hungry for some sweets, I may just slap on the FRXtion. The balm side of the product gently hydrates your lips leaving them supple and soft.
This product certainly isn’t new, but my lips were glad to discover it.
Have you used it?

ok so ive been eyeing this stuff, but i am weary. heres my question… the exfoliating side, does it get gritty on your lips i.e. do you need tissue or anything to remove the excess? the only lip exfoliators that i have found have a gritty, nasty sensation that i cant get past, but i REALLY want to find one that truely works. also what was the pricing on this again? ty in advance ;-)
Trisha when i tried this i didn’t have to rub anything off. the grains on your lips that are left by the exfoliating side just melt away when i pursed my lips together. Plus it smells great.
omg really debbie?! sounds like it is exactly what ive been searching for! ty so much for the quick heads up!
I just use a soft bristled tooth brush for lip exfoliation…much cheaper that buying specific products.
I love how Tarte always has these little random products that you’ve never heard about, but end up being golden. I’ve gotta’ get ahold of this, that is so thrifty. I’ve just been using lip balm and sugar! Go figure.
