The Body Shop Brilliance Powder

I do love The Body Shop, however, I just couldn’t get myself to love their Brilliance Powder. It actually wasn’t the powder itself that I didn’t love—well I guess I don’t know that for sure since I couldn’t even review the powder. Here’s why…
When I received the brush, I was excited to see that just a push of a button would disperse just the right amount of powder for me to lightly swipe across my face. Except when I pressed the button, nothing came out into the brush hairs. I pressed again and again and again…you get the idea. Nothing happened. I twisted and shook it and I still couldn’t get the powder to come out. So I called one of my beauty blogging friends that I knew was also testing this product out and she told me she had the same issue. We both laughed knowing that we weren’t complete idiots–I mean really, it’s brush and powder, how hard can it be to figure out?
Needless to say, I gave up. I shouldn’t have to work that hard just to dust myself with powder.
Have you tried this product? Did you have the same issue or was your experience completely different?
lol, you have just made dozens of ladies feel better about vigorously shaking their brilliance powder! this push and powder items always tend to give a lot or not at all. i’ll just stick with the good ole palette and brush =)
I think the one from Victoria’s Secret works a little better, the device for distributing the powder isn’t so restrictive. I also like the big, pretty poof!
power with my own brush seem like a better option to me, much more control. these seem to always have too much product come out. no disco-ball-shoulders for me
Lol, I had this thing for more than a year and only now I get a generous amount of shimmer out! The first month I had it I was pumping like mad and only very little came out. Then I gave up and put it aside. Every time I ‘felt’ like having shimmer I would use it, pumped like mad of course for very little product. After on and off usage for a year, I used this abt 2 weeks ago I had too much shimmer on my face :P But actually it is very nice, if you can pump it long enough! Don’t give up just yet…!
