MAC Cosmetics Suite Array

I love the cool pair ups of MAC Cosmetics newest collection, Suite Array. However, if you’ve seen this collection already, you may know that I am going straight for the green! As soon as I saw the Pearlglide Eye Liner in Bankroll, I was all over it like bees to honey!

I wore Bankroll with my MAC Cult of Cherries Tempting Eye Shadow quad. This eyeliner glided on so smoothly and has lots of shimmer. Prior to this past week when I gave Loose Lips New York’s Indelible Eyeliner in Ivy League a spin, I’ve never worn green eyeliner before. But…I think I’m in love.

Loose Lips New York

I’m totally still on this green kick for fall. I’ve been wearing my MAC Cult of Cherries Tempting Eye quad which has recently been enhanced by Loose Lips New York Indelible Eyeliner Gel in Ivy League. It is a magnificent moss colored, waterproof liquid gel eyeliner.

And we all know what a lipgloss girl I am, so I have faithfully held Loose Lips New York’s Glitter Gloss hostage in my makeup bag. The shine is marvelous! I have it in Ruby Slippers, which is almost pinkish/mauve. However it applies almost clear with a slight tint, but is high on the shimmer. It works fabulously over lipstick for some added umph!

Product Find: DuWop Reverse Time

DuWop’s Reverse Time duo, a Reverse Lip Liner and Reverse Eyeliner, are on my want list right now. Both products are aimed at preventing your makeup from smudging while plumping the fine lines around your eyes and mouth.

From the product description one of the ingredients is something I’ve never heard of before– Kombuchka. Have you heard of it? It’s supposed to promote “lipofilling” to restore volume back to your skin.

Have you tried it? Does it work?

Elizabeth Arden Gel Eyeliner

I have to say I’m more of a pencil girl when it comes to eyeliners, but I recently had the chance to try out Elizabeth Arden’s Gel Eyeliner in Black Pearl.

The gel is more like a balm consistency in a glass frosted jar. It does have shimmer to it, but it didn’t irritate my eyes. It comes with a small tapered brush, which is more firm than pliable and when you tap it onto the gel, it sinks down into it as if a flame melting wax.

The firm brush makes it easy to apply the gel in a straight line and should you veer off for some reason, mistakes can be easily fixed.

It isn’t smudgeproof, but it doesn’t run either. While it does look good, I think that it is probably just a preference thing that I would prefer their Smokey Eyes Powder Eyeliner instead.

Product Find: Styli-Style Glitter Lid Liner

While hanging out in the beauty aisle of CVS today, I came across a brand I hadn’t heard of– Styli-Style. They had these cool Glitter Lid Liners. Not sure I’d buy the blues or silvers, but possibly black or brown would still look good without sticking out like a sore thumb.

Have you seen them?

Lord & Berry Smudgeproof Eyeliner

Eventually the heat and humidity will set in…when the weather decides to act more like late Spring than early March. And when that sweatfest begins, you’ll want an eyeliner that won’t budge, and my friends, I believe I have found just the one I’ll be wearing all summer long. Lord & Berry’s Smudgeproof Eyeliner is better than anything I have ever used before.

The liner I have is in black, but Lord & Berry offers 5 other colors to suit your mood: Forest, Brown/Black, Midnight, Raisin and Light Blue. This eyeliner easily glides across your lid and amazingly lasts all day without fading or budging from where it was originally applied. Not only did it outlast my constant eye rubbing, but took some elbow grease to remove with makeup remover. That is some tough stuff!

It’s now a part of my summer makeup bag, how about yours?

Pencil Me In (Cosmetics that is)

I came across this cool eye pencil brand called Pencil Me In Cosmetics in On Makeup Magazine’s (very awesome) Spring issue (kudos Michael DeVellis!) While I haven’t gotten the chance to give them a try myself, it’s definitely worth bringing the company to your attention.

Not only do these pencils have built in sharpeners in their cap, but the pencils include natural ingredients and blended botanicals. They also come in 30 shades! Holy smokes.

They certainly look pretty cool, have you tried them?
