I’m not sure if you’ll get Angelina Jolie’s pout, as I haven’t yet tried them myself, but if SEXYcosmetics are anything like the quality of Urban Apothecary’s cosmetics then I’m confident they’ll work great.

It also doesn’t sound like these plumpers are the “lip burning” kind. From their product page it says, “Tiny, dehydrated, marine collagen micro spheres are instantly absorbed by the lips, and seek out the body’s natural moisture. As soon as the spheres become rehydrated, they plump and hold onto the moisture they’ve collected, creating a mild “swelling” of the lip tissue. The result is fuller, smoother, perfectly plumped lips in seconds. Results can last for up to 48 hours.”

48 hours!? Holy smokes. I’d love to know if any of you have tried them.

I noticed that this gloss simply said “Lipstick Jungle” on it and made no mention of which brand it was, the color, etc. and so on. It’s a cute applicator and is much like e.l.f.’s Moisture Care Lip Color, except minus the velvety tip.

The color is gorgeous and since it didn’t tell me the shade it was on the product, my best guess is that it is Seductively Nude–a pinkish type nuetral.

What I didn’t expect? Considering that the product made no mention that it was a lip plumper (it wasn’t in any packaging), for days I thought I was having a reaction to this gloss because my lips burned. Since I didn’t know who made the gloss it was hard for me to track it down to find out. That is, until I was reading a magazine at the dentist and saw a big ad for it. Volume XL Seduction Lip Plumper. Ahh the burning makes sense now. My lips did slightly plump, but nothing significant or magical. Definitely not Amanda Lepore type lips.

Pretty color, nice shine, awful burning sensation–I’m not sure if that balances out everything. Have you used it?

So when I received a gift card to DermStore.com I decided it was my chance to give LipFusion a try. I’ve heard a lot about Fusion Beauty products and had been pining for their LashFusion, LiftFusion Facelift and the LipFusion.

What makes LipFusion different from the others? They say they use “breakthrough technology that uses tiny, dehydrated, marine collagen microspheres, which seek out the body’s natural moisture. As soon as the spheres become re-hydrated, they swell and hold onto the moisture creating a perfect plump of the lip tissue.” They also say it lasts up to 48 hours.

So did it work?

When I applied my LipFusion (in Sugar) I noticed a unique sensation in my lips. Not tingling or burning, not even stinging…yet you could feel that something was going on in those lips. By minute 3 my lips felt numb, however, that numbness only lasted about 10 minutes. I’ve heard from people who have used LiftFusion that they have felt this same effect when they used it on their forehead. When I looked in the mirror, those lines that I used to have on my lips were beginning to disapate. I could see a fullness in my lips and plumping pushing the wrinkled skin out of existance.

While I wasn’t too excited about the numbness, at least it didn’t last so long. Now, the only thing that didn’t happen was that the plumping didn’t last 48 hours. It lasted maybe an hour or two at most. Of course, if I wanted to replump, I just applied more gloss.

Worth the $38? I say yes.

I received two Lip Delites from Luscious Cosmetics; Boca Raton and White Sands. Boca Raton is a pink nude with a bit of silver shimmer and White Sands is a sheer pearl with silver shimmer.

I loved the look of these glosses; definitely shimmery and the colors were pretty. As with some of the other lip plumpers I have reviewed, Lip Delites plumping action only occurs over a 30 day period. I assume that is with daily use, which I honestly never wear the same gloss for 30 days in a row. I can’t report if my lips plumped for this very reason, however I still liked these glosses nonetheless.

Back when my mom finally allowed me to wear makeup, I always remember seeing Sally Hansen products on the shelves of my local drugstore. Yet, somehow, I have never tried them. So a few weeks ago I decided to give their Lip Inflation a try. Sally Hansen now has Lip Inflation Tints and I chose Sheer Pink simply because I am a pink fanatic.

Sally Hansen says:

* Refreshing tinted gloss enhances lips’ natural color and shape by shape while adding brilliant shine.
* Peppermint “cools” and stimulates lips.
* Lips become flush and plump instantly for a sexy, pouty look.
* Vitamins A and E hydrate the lips.

What I thought:

Beautiful pink color–looked great on me. However, my lips only plumped slightly and didn’t last very long. I was really hoping for something more substantial.

Pricewise, it wasn’t a total loss. It was around $6, so I still can wear it as a great pink lip gloss, if nothing else.

NYX Cosmetics Super Volume Lip PLumper is a lip treatment designed to give you 40% fuller lips. Besides being super glossy, it also contains antioxidant Vitamin E acetate to condition your lips and herbs and Rosemary & Jojoba Oil.

The Super Volume Lip Plumper only comes in one shade: clear. The shine is tremendous. It does giving a burning sensation, although its really not that bad. My lips did plump up for about 25 minutes, which I am sure was a combination of actual plumping plus the look of the gloss to enhance its appearance.

While clear gloss always looks good, sometimes I really want color. So I simply dabbed other lip glosses over top and rubbed my lips together. Their normal color was a bit diluted when rubbed into the clear gloss, but it still looked great, making this a very versatile lip plumper. Plus for only $7, I think that is a pretty good deal considering the other plumpers I have tried recently cost double and rendered no results.
