A Smarter Makeup Remover?

While I DO have some favorites, far too many eye makeup removers strip moisture from the eye area and force you to tug at the delicate lashline to get that last bit of eye makeup off. But DermaQuest’s new lash enhancing Eye Makeup Remover claims to do just the opposite.

With biotin and copper to strengthen lashes and hydrolyzed wheat protein to condition them, this product aims to do good things for your eyelashes while cleansing.
It’s also got one of those clever, spill-proof pump top lids…just place a cotton ball on top and press down to saturate with just the right …read more

Lancome Bi-Facil

I should’ve listened to my friend Kristen of Beauty Addict when she told me that Lancome’s Bi-Facil was the be all and end all of makeup removers. At the time I was happy with my Korres Jasmin Makeup Remover and really haven’t searched for anything since. However, as with any beauty product, it is consumable and it was when I was within the last few drops of the bottle, I found Bi-Facil in one of my goodie bags from Fashion Week.
“Double-phase, fresh-as-water liquid eye makeup remover.”
Without a doubt. Bi-Facil has no oily residue and takes off your eye makeup just …read more

Boots No7 Quick Thinking 4 in 1 Wipes

Boots No7 Quick Thinking 4 in 1 Wipes are meant to cleanse, remove impurities, tone and moisturize your skin. They come in a plastic bag with a plastic snap cap to keep the wipes fresh. These wipes are fragrances-free and hypoallergenic.
The first thing you notice about Quick Thinking is that the wipes are about the size of a face cloth and very thick and durable. So they won’t fall apart as you smooth them over your face. It doesn’t take much for your makeup to come off and they are very gentle on your eyes (not like that e.l.f. debacle …read more

Borghese Gel Delicato

Borghese’s Gel Delicato is a gentle makeup remover that is oil-free and fragrance-free. It’s compromised of this sea green gel that you apply to a cotton pad and are able to use for removing makeup off your entire face–because really–I hate those makeup removers that are soley for your eyes.
Gel Delicato contains Lavender, Comfrey and Acqua di Vita® “Living Water” Complex to condition skin and restore moisture.
This really is a gentle and lightweight makeup remover and once you use it over your entire face, you just follow up with your normal facial cleanser (I also hear that their Fango Mud …read more

Benefit Cosmetics “Gee that was quick” Makeup Remover

Benefit Cosmetics has a new makeup remover out. Previously it was called, “Not on my pillow,” but just this week I received an email about “Gee that was quick” (where do they come up with these names??)
It’s $19 for 8oz. and here’s what they say:
Now you see it! Now you don’t! This oil-free makeup remover for eyes & face thoroughly removes makeup without an oily residue. It leaves skin feeling soft, clean, refreshed, and well hydrated. Clean livin’ never felt so good!
Tips and tricks: Use with a cotton pad and whisk off…it’s as instant as that.
I am still madly in …read more

Korres Jasmine Eye Makeup Remover

I think I have found the Holy Grail of makeup removers. I really hadn’t ventured on past my MK Oil-free Makeup remover and Neutrogena Oil-free makeup remover. I had given up hope that there really was a true non-greasy feeling makeup remover out there. They may be oil-free, but I hate the aloe vera “oil slick” feeling after using them.
So I was sent Korres Jasmine Eye Makeup Remover and told it was oil-free. I didn’t have high hopes for it if I am being honest, but willing to to give it a shot.
How Korres describes this product:
A herbal lotion that …read more

e.l.f. Eye Makeup Remover

There are so many products by e.l.f. that I love. Their Hypershine Gloss, Moisture Care Lip Color, Super Glossy Lip Shine and Nail Polish Remover Pads to name a few. However, the Eye Makeup Remover is sadly not on that list of love.
The Eye Makeup Remover Pads come just as the Nail Polish Remover pads do, in a small disk of 18 round soaked pads. There is no heavy scent. When I first swiped the pads over my eyes, all seemed well, but it was when I had to push a little harder to remove my mascara that things became …read more

Makeup Remover Search

I’ve procrastinated and procrastinated and now I am out of makeup remover. I typically have used Mary Kay’s Makeup Remover, but I feel it is time to move on.
For a few months I had been thinking about “Not on my Pillow” by Benefit, but looking through their site tonight, I was so disappointed to see that they no longer sell it. So now I am on the hunt for a good makeup remover.
These are just a few I am thinking about:

Shiseido’s Elixir Perfect Makeup Cleansing Oil.
Although it is an oil, the description says that it doesn’t leave a sticky or …read more
