I have rosacea on my chin, nose, and mostly,my cheeks!I had never really tried anything that worked.(makeup AND skincare)Then one day my mom came home from a little mom and pop shop, with something special. It's called "Rosacea Advanced Redness Treatment." by Dermarest. And it is the ONLY thing that I have used to make my rosacea go away. Now I'm not saying that there is a cure for rosacea, there is not,but ,my redness is now a sort of peachy color and sooooo much easier to cover up with make up.I use it as a moisturizer for the best results. You can use it under your make up also. And even though maybe the first one or two months you may not see a difference, stick with it!It will be so worth it once it starts working.I reccomend 150%!!!

I developed rocacea in high school. I have used metrogel, taken oracea, and even had laser treatment(painful). My face as cleared up considerably except for my nose. I look like rudolph. I don't go without makeup. I've been using aveeno anti-redness lotion and it helps some. I've used sheer elegance powder foundation and a number of other foundations. They all seem to work for all of my face except my nose. Any suggestions?

Leisa-
if you have rosacea, and you use a red/pink/warm based undertone its going to make you look red again so don't do that, use the neutral one.... as far as bare minerals goes, it is a mess. have you ever heard of pur minerals? its the same concept except its not messy because its press together (held together with shea butter) they also have a colour-correcting primer in green that you apply and let dry and then apply the 4-in-1 foundation over it. the 4-in-1 (concealer, foundation, finishing powder (which is like mineral viel) and spf 15) was actually featured in the jan issue of marie claire as a 2008 Top 10 Best Beauty Buy, go to your nearest ULTA or order online. unless you are the LIGHTEST person in the world do not get the porcelain, it is the lightest color in the world. with the rosacea either get golden medium or light. if the light is too light get just warm it up with a bronzer

Hi, I'm trying to figure out what "undertone" is best for rosacea? I've been using philosophys airbrushed makeup and love it but they have a two new colors out that I might want to try. I can only find the new color choices on the sephora website. The new colors have either a neutral or warm undertone...Does anyone have suggestions on which undertone is best for rosacia? My skin is very fair in color as I stay out of the sun as much as possible living in Texas! I used to use Bare Minerals and actually loved it but I'm not someone that loves to "mess" with makeup and found philosophys airbrushed line and love it! It's perfect for those of us that prefer not to spend a lot of time applying makeup and it too has spf as does Bare-M.
Thanks, Leisa

I have uneven complexion and use Urban Decay's Universal Concealer. It does wonders. At first, I never thought it'd work due to it's bright yellow tinge in the package. But I assure you that it'll match almost anyone's skin tone.

My mom developed roscacea later in life and I have sensative, problem skin...we both use the new Clinique anti-redness skin care line. Works nicely, can't go wrong with Clinique.

This is a great post. I'd heard vaguely of green or yellow concealers, but never actually seen a good explanation of how they worked. I have old acne scars and dark circles under my eyes. I'll have to check this out very, very soon!

you can also use Purpose or Aveeno moisturizer that help reduce redness. i always get rid near my nostrils so i always put it around my nose and mouth area. unfortunately, the green color looks a little ashy on my asian coloring, but if it works great for you, awesome!

Karen, who is the maker of Perfect Change?

Also, have you ever gone to a Prescriptives U-blend event? They customize concealer, foundation and powder for your skin tone. I went to one and found out my tones are red/blue and not yellow/green (the way most people's are). It's worth looking into!

Hi, I have red blotches all over my skin from previous acne spots due to rosacea and acne. I have tried many green concealer sticks and the one I like most is called Perfect Change. I am almost out of it and can not find it in stores or online. Does anyone know where I can purchase it?
Thank in advance.
